A delegation of French Companies to visit Pakistan to forge business ties
Paris 26th February, 2019. MEDEF International, the French Business Confederation will be visiting Pakistan with a large delegation of French businessmen in April this year to forge business and investment ties.
This was disclosed by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque while speaking at a dinner which he hosted for the board members of the Association of Friends of Pakistan held at the Embassy of Pakistan.
The Ambassador briefed the Association board members about the current status of Pakistan-France bilateral relations and hoped that the Association of Friends of Pakistan will prove to be an effective forum to strengthen the existing friendly relations and to facilitate in further improving people to people contact.
While speaking on the occasion Mrs. Fredrika Sundberg, the President of the Association said that Pakistan was a great country which with its strategic location, hardworking people and rich and diverse cultural heritage had a good potential to become a developed country of the world.
She said that the Association had drawn a comprehensive plan including launching of its own independent website, organizing conferences and exhibitions to develop friendly and productive ties between Pakistan and France and to promote Pakistan as a modern and progressive country.
The Association of Friends of Pakistan launched last year draws its members from diverse sectors of French Civil Society including diplomacy, business, fashion industry, academia, arts and media.

Paris: 13th February, 2019. The second edition of Urdu Cultural Day was celebrated by French National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) in Paris, France yesterday with a splendid display of Pakistan culture, recitation of Urdu poetry, singing of Urdu songs and photographic exhibition of Pakistan’s rich cultural and architecture heritage.
Students and teachers of INALCO, members of French civil society and media persons attended the cultural day in large number. Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque was the chief guest at the event.
During his speech, the Ambassador appreciated efforts of the Urdu Section of INALCO for successfully organizing the 2nd edition of Urdu Cultural Day and especially thanked the French students of Urdu section for their enthusiastic participation in various literary, cultural and social events. He said that this event would help in promoting Urdu as one of the major languages of the world and would create more interest amongst the French students to learn Urdu language.
While highlighting the effort of the Embassy of Pakistan to France to promote Urdu language in France, the Ambassador said that recently Embassy of Pakistan and Ensemble pour le Development Humain (EPDH) of France have jointly launched Urdu classes for the French young students in the suburbs of Paris for the first time in France.
Earlier Mr. Shahzaman Haque, the incharge Urdu Section INALCO while welcoming the Ambassador, said that INALCO was the only French educational institution where Urdu was formally taught. He said that Urdu studies include Urdu Certificate (two academic years; seven hours a week), Urdu diploma (three years) and a Higher Diploma (four years).
During his visit, the Ambassador also met with Vice President INALCO Mr. Jean Francois Huchet and discussed with him ways and means to further promote Urdu as an optional language for the French students. He also presented some famous books of Urdu literature for INALCO library.

Paris 15 Feb, 2019. The French professionals of Pakistani origin working in the fields of banking, finance, information technology, energy, law and construction pledged their full support to the initiatives of government of Pakistan for socio-economic development of the country.
A large number of these Pakistani professional were invited to the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris for a networking and brain storming session.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque briefed the participants about Pakistan-France bilateral relations and various initiatives of the Embassy being undertaken in line with government priorities.
The Ambassador said that by virtue of their presence in important French companies, the Pakistani professionals can act as a useful a bridge to channelize French expertise and investments to Pakistan in key sectors.
He praised them for being an excellent Ambassador of Pakistan and encouraged them to further promote Pakistan within their respective companies/organizations as investment and tourist destinations.
While expressing their views, the Pakistani professionals extended their full support to the initiatives of the government for socio-economic uplift of the country. It was decided to setup a forum for regular exchanges, sharing of ideas and launch new initiatives for strengthening Pakistan France relations and promoting Pakistan in France.

Kashmir Solidarity Day Observed in Paris France
Paris, February 19, 2019. Pakistan Community in France expressed its unwavering support to Kashmiris for their just struggle for right of self-determination as promised to them by various resolutions of United Nation Security Council.
A simple and dignified Kashmir Solidarity Day event held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris, France yesterday was attended by the notables of Kashmiri and Pakistani communities of France, members of the French civil society and media persons in large number.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque while speaking on the occasion highlighted the significance of the event, apprised the participants of the continuously deteriorating human rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir and underlined the importance of resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He called upon the Government of France to play its role as member of the UN Security Council in resolving this long outstanding dispute. He said that Pakistan would continue to extend its diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris.
The Kashmiri and Pakistan community leaders made passionate speeches about the valiant struggle of the people of Indian Held Kashmir, condemning the atrocities committed by the Indian security forces. They called for the support of the international community for the peaceful resolution of the dispute as envisaged in the UN resolutions.
