Ambassador Outreach visit to the City of Lyon, France

 

Paris 30th July, 2017. The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque has expressed his sincere hope to bring about a quantum jump in the existing level of economic, trade, and investment cooperation between France and Pakistan.

 

The Ambassador, who was on a 3-day visit to Lyon from 29th June to 1st July, 2017 as part of his outreach initiative to various French regions, held extensive meetings with Mrs. Nora Bera, former French Minister and Vice President of the Lyon Region and Mr. Alain Marleix, former French Minister and member of French National Assembly and discussed ways and means to further improve bilateral relations between the two countries.

 

The Ambassador also met with Mr. F. Turcas, President of Union of Regional Small and Medium Companies (CPME) and Mr. Florent Belleteste President of Lyon Chamber of Commerce to promote bilateral business, trade and investment relations.

 

During the meetings, the Ambassador said that Pakistan offers one of the world’s most liberal and lucrative trade and investment regime. He invited the French businessmen to explore many attractive investment opportunities in Pakistan, a fast growing and emerging economy of the world. It was agreed that a delegation of CPME will visit Pakistan in 2018.

 

He noted that bilateral trade is steadily growing over the last few years while France has emerged as the third largest investor to Pakistan after China and Nederland during 2016-17.

 

Later Ambassador visited the factory of Clanger, a leading French company in the field of cold chain and industrial refrigeration.

 

The Ambassador also met with the Pakistani Community of Lyon. He congratulated them on setting up the Pakistani cultural association which will serve as an important platform for their social and cultural activities and for promoting pakistan in Lyon

 

This was the fourth leg of Ambassador’s outreach initiative. Earlier, the Ambassador had visited Toulouse in December 2016, Strasbourg and Normandy region in February and May this year to promote Pakistan as a preferred destination for making investment, doing business and trade.

Paris 25.06.2017. The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque offered Eid-ul-Fitre prayers with large number of Pakistani community  in the Embassy of Pakistan to France here in Paris today

 

Special arrangements were made by the Embassy to facilitate the Community member to offer Eid prayers along with their families with simplicity keeping in view the recent tragic incidents of Quetta, Parachinar and Bahawalpur which resulted in loss of precious lives.

 

Special prayers were offered for the victims of Quetta, Parachinar and Bahawalpur

 

Later, the Ambassador got mixed-up with the community and offered Eid greetings to them.

Pakistan can learn from French Experience in Fashion Designing

Paris, 23rd June, 2017. Pakistani Fashion houses and Fashion designing students should learn from French experience in fashion designing to keep themselves updated with modern trends and new innovations taking place in the fast changing fashion industry.

This was stated by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque while talking to a 20-member group of students of Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD), Lahore which called on him at the Embassy of Pakistan to France, in Paris, yesterday.

The Ambassador said that Pakistan today has an impressive and thriving fashion industry. It has produced world class brands in textile and fashion, which speaks volume of the talent and prowess of Pakistani fashion designers.

Recalling the history of PIFD which was set up with the help of French designer Olivier Lapidus, the Ambassador expressed great satisfaction in seeing the institute becoming a prestigious learning place imparting quality education in multiple disciplines. He told the visiting group that Embassy plans to showcase the impressive thesis work of selected students of PFIP in Paris next year as part of its Public Diplomacy Initiative.

The Ambassador expressed the hope that such regular training programmes would help Pakistan students in their future studies and career. The interaction with the French designing schools could also help in creating a niche for Pakistan’s Fashion designing industry in France. The students also shared their experiences with the Ambassador about their training and study in Paris.

The students and two faculty members of PIFD are currently on a 20 days training and orientation visit at the Ecole De La Chamber Syndical De la Couture, Paris, France.

Le Pakistan peut s’instruire du savoir-faire français dans le domaine de la mode

 

Paris, le 23 juin 2017. Les maisons de couture pakistanaises et les étudiants en école de stylisme devraient s’inspirer du savoir-faire français dans le domaine de la mode pour se tenir au courant des tendances modernes et des innovations dans une industrie en pleine évolution.

C’est ce que l’Ambassadeur du Pakistan en France S.E. M. Moin ul Haque a déclaré en s’adressant à un groupe de vingt membres de l’Institut de la Mode et du Design du Pakistan (PIFD), basé à Lahore, qui a été accueilli hier à Paris par l’Ambassade du Pakistan en France.

L’ambassadeur a déclaré que le Pakistan possède une industrie de la mode remarquable et prospère, qui produit des marques de classe internationale dans les domaines du textile et de la mode, qui en dit long sur le talent et des prouesses des créateurs de mode pakistanais.

Rappelant l’histoire du PIFD, qui a été mis en place avec l’aide du designer français Olivier Lapidus, l’Ambassadeur a exprimé sa grande satisfaction de voir l’institut devenir un lieu d’apprentissage prestigieux offrant une éducation de qualité dans de multiples disciplines. Il a déclaré au groupe de visiteurs que l’Ambassade avait l’intention de présenter les impressionnants travaux de thèse des étudiants sélectionnés du PFID à Paris l’année prochaine dans le cadre de son Initiative de diplomatie publique.

L’Ambassadeur a exprimé l’espoir que de tels programmes de formation réguliers aideraient les étudiants pakistanais dans leurs futures études et leur carrière. L’interaction avec les écoles de design française pourrait également contribuer à créer un créneau pour l’industrie de la mode du Pakistan en France. Les étudiants ont également partagé avec Monsieur L’Ambassadeur leurs expériences liées à leur formation et leurs études à Paris.

Les étudiants et les deux membres du corps professoral du PIFD sont actuellement en visite de formation et d’orientation pendant 20 jours à l’Ecole de la chambre syndical de la couture à Paris, en France.

 

Le Pakistan participe au 52e Salon de l’aéronautique de Paris

Le 19 juin, 2017. Une délégation de l’armée de l’air du Pakistan participe à la 52ème Salon aéronautique de Paris qui a ouvert ses portes aujourd’hui au Parc des Expositions du Bourget, à Paris.

La délégation pakistanaise, l’Ambassadeur du Pakistan en France S.E M. Moin ul Haque et plus de 300 délégués d’autres pays ont assisté à l’impressionnante cérémonie d’ouverture, présidée par le président de la République Française M. Emmanuel Macron, pendant laquelle des avions  commerciaux et de défense ont présenté un show spectaculaire.

Plus tard, Monsieur l’Ambassadeur et les membres de la délégation ont visité diverses sections de l’exposition. Les liens entre le Pakistan et la France dans le domaine de la  défense sont à la fois étroits et historiques.

Pendant leur séjour à Paris, les membres de la délégation tiendront un certain nombre de réunions pour explorer de nouvelles voies de collaboration.

Le Salon International de l’aéronautique et l’espace Paris (SIAE) est une exposition axée sur l’innovation où les secteurs aéronautique, numérique et aérospatial de l’industrie de l’espace aérien mondial sont assemblés.  Plus de     2, 300 exposants internationaux, 30 pavillons nationaux et 300 délégations officielles venant du monde entier participent au plus grand spectacle de ce genre au monde.

Le Pakistan avait présenté trois avions de combat JF-17 Thunder au 51e Salon aéronautique de Paris en 2015.

Pakistan attend 52nd Paris Airshow

19th June, 2017. A delegation of Pakistan Air Force is attending the 4-day 52nd Paris Airshow starting from today at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions, Paris.

Impressive inaugural ceremony was attended by the Pakistani delegation, Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque and over 300 delegates from other parts of the world. The President of France Mr. Emmanuel Macron officiated the opening ceremony amid spectacular show of commercial and defense planes and jets.

Later, the Ambassador and the members of the delegation visited various sections of the exhibition. Pakistan and France have close and historic defense ties.

Members of the delegate during their stay in Paris would hold a number of meeting to explore new avenues of cooperation.

International Paris Air Show (SIAE) is an innovation-centred exhibition where the aeronautics, digital and aerospace sectors of the global airspace industry come together. Over 2,300 international exhibitors, 30 national pavilions and 300 official delegations from all over the world are taking part in world’s biggest show of its kind.

Three JF-17 Thunder of Pakistan had attended the 51st Paris Airshow held in 2015.

مورخہ 19 جون 2017ء: پاکستان ایئر فورس کے وفد نے پیرس میں 52ویں چار روزہ ہوابازی کی نمائش میں شرکت کی جو آج سے لا بورجے پاغک دیس ایکسپوزیشن پیرس میں شروع ہے۔
اس پروقار افتتاحی تقریب میں پاکستانی وفد، سفیر پاکستان برائے فرانس معین الحق اور دنیا کے دوسرے حصوں سے آئے ہوئے 300 سے زائد وفود نے شرکت کی۔ فرانس کے صدر جناب ایمینول میکرون نے دفاعی، کاروباری نوعیت کے جہازروں اور لڑاکا طیاروں کے شاندار ہوائی کرتب اور مظاہروں کے درمیان اس نمائش کا افتتاح کیا۔
بعدازاں، سفیر پاکستان اور وفد کے اراکین نے نمائش کے مختلف شعبوں کا دورہ کیا۔ اس موقع پر سفیر پاکستان نے کہا کہ پاکستان اور فرانس کے تاریخی اور دفاعی شعبوں میں قریبی تعلقات ہیں۔
وفد کے اراکین پیرس میں اپنے قیام کے دوران دوسرے وفود سے ملاقاتیں بھی کریں گے اور متعلقہ شعبے میں نئی راہوں کے اپنے تعاون کو آگے بڑھائیں گے۔
پیرس میں بین الاقوامی ہوابازی کی نمائش کے انعقاد سے پوری دنیا سے ایروناٹک، ڈیجیٹل اور ایئرسپیس سیکٹر سے تعلق رکھنے والے لوگ اکھٹے ہوتے ہیں۔ تقریباً 2,300 سے زائد بین الاقوامی نمائش کنندگان، 30ممالک اور پوری دنیا سے 300 سرکاری وفود اس عالمی نمائش میں حصہ لے رہے ہیں۔
2015 میں پاکستان نے تین جے ایف 17 تھنڈر کے ساتھ 51ویں پیرس ایئرشو میں شرکت کی تھی۔

Pakistan Festival 2017

Pakistan Community is all set to celebrate 70th Anniversary of the Pakistan’s Independence this August. Community has resolved to organize a Pakistani Festival at Sarcelles a town near Paris to commemorate the event. The Festival will be held on 26th August, 2017. All community members are requested to come forward and play their role in making the festival a resounding success.

Le Pakistan a signé les accords de l’OCDE sur L’érosion de la base d’imposition et le transfert de bénéfices (BEPS) et sur l’Autorité compétente multilatérale pour l’échange automatique de renseignements

Paris, le 7 juin 2017. Au nom du Gouvernement pakistanais, l’Ambassadeur Moin ul Haq a signé aujourd’hui la Convention multilatérale de l’Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques (OCDE) pour mettre en œuvre des mesures fiscales liées aux traités visant à prévenir l’érosion de base et les bénéfices (BEPS). Environ 70 pays ont simultanément signé cette convention aujourd’hui au siège de l’OCDE en présence du Secrétaire général de l’OCDE, M. Angel Gurria.

Après la cérémonie, l’ambassadeur a déclaré que le Pakistan participera à présent aux efforts mondiaux pour élaborer des solutions afin de combler les lacunes dans les conventions fiscales qui permettent de transférer artificiellement les bénéfices des sociétés à des juridictions fiscales faibles ou inexistantes. En outre, le Pakistan recevra également un soutien de qualité et des directives cohérentes de l’OCDE pour mettre en œuvre les normes de BEPS afin de contrer les pratiques fiscales dommageables et les abus des conventions fiscales.

Moin ul Haque a ajouté que la signature de l’Instrument multilatéral est une étape de plus dans la politique du gouvernement actuel pour adopter les meilleures pratiques internationales dans le domaine des questions fiscales et pour s’associer à la lutte multilatérale contre l’évasion fiscale par un échange continu et mutuel de renseignements.

Tout en énumérant les mesures prises par le gouvernement pour promouvoir la transparence financière au Pakistan, l’ambassadeur a déclaré que le Pakistan a déjà rejoint «le Partenariat pour une gouvernance ouverte (PGO) » en décembre 2016 et a signé la Convention multilatérale de l’OCDE sur l’assistance administrative mutuelle en matière fiscale en septembre 2016. Le Pakistan a également récemment signé un accord révisé sur l’élimination de la double imposition avec la Suisse en mars 2017. Ces étapes reflètent l’engagement ferme du gouvernement à adopter une structure de gouvernance transparente et responsable dans le pays.

Précédemment, le Pakistan a signé l’Accord sur l’échange automatique de comptes financiers de l’Autorité compétente multilatérale (MCAA). L’accord a été signé par M. Mohammad Iqbal, directeur Taxes internationales au Bureau fédéral des revenus. La signature a été supervisée par l’Ambassadeur et le Secrétaire général adjoint de l’OCDE. De hauts responsables de l’OCDE du Forum mondial sur la Transparence et l’échange d’informations à des fins fiscales ont assisté à la cérémonie de signature.

Pakistan Signs OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Agreement and Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement for Automatic Exchange of Information

Paris, June 7, 2017.  On behalf of the Government of Pakistan, Ambassador Moin ul Haq signed Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD’s) for the Multilateral Convention to Implement Tax Treaty Related measures to Prevent Base Erosion and Profit (BEPS) at OECD headquarter, Paris, today. Around 70 countries simultaneously signed this Convention today in the OECD Centre in the presence of Secretary General OECD Mr. Angel Gurria.

Speaking after the ceremony, the Ambassador said that Pakistan now will be part of global efforts to develop solutions to close the gaps in tax treaties that allow corporate profits to be artificially shifted to low or no tax jurisdictions.  Besides, Pakistan will also receive consistent support and guidelines from OECD to implement BEPS’s standards to counter harmful tax practices and tax treaty abuses.

Mr. Moin ul Haque added that the signing of the Multilateral Instrument is yet another step of the incumbent to adopt international best practices in the field of tax matters and to join the multilateral fight against tax evasion through continuous and mutual exchange of information.

While counting the steps taken by the government to infuse financial transparency in Pakistan, the Ambassador said that Pakistan has already joined ‘Open Government partnership’ (OPG) in December, 2016, and as well as signed OECD’s Multilateral Convention on Mutual Administrative Assistance in Tax Matters in September, 2016. Pakistan has also lately signed revised Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation with Switzerland in March, 2017. These steps, he said, were reflective of the government’s firm commitment to a transparent and accountable governance structure in the country.

Earlier, Pakistan signed the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement on Automatic Exchange of Financial Accounts (MCAA). The MCAA was signed by Mr. Mohammad Iqbal, chief (International Taxes), FBR. The signing was overseen by the Ambassador and Deputy Secretary General, OECD Mr. Douglas Franz. The signing ceremony was attended by senior OECD officials of Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of information for Tax purpose.

مورخہ 7 جون 2017ء: جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان برائے فرانس نے حکومت پاکستان کی جانب سے تنظیم برائے معاشی تعاون اور ترقیات کے ساتھ کثیرالاقوامی کنونشن برائے ٹیکس سمجھوتے کے نفاذ اور اس سے متعلقہ معاملات کے سمجھوتے پر دستخط کیئے جس کا مقصد کمپنیوں کی طرف سے اپنے منافع کو کم کرنا اور اپنے منافع کو ایسے علاقے میں منتقل کرناشامل ہے جہاں کمپنیوں کا کاروبار نہیں ہوتا۔ ان سمجھوتوں پر دستخط او ای سی ڈی کے پیرس میں واقع ہیڈکوارٹر میں آج کیئے گئے۔ پاکستان کے علاوہ دنیا سے آئے ہوئے 70 ممالک کے نمائندگان نے بی ای پی ایس کنونشن پر دستخط کیئے اس موقع پر او ای سی ڈی کے سیکرٹری جنرل جناب اینجل گوریا بھی موجود تھے۔
جناب معین الحق نے کہا کہ کثیر الاقوامی سمجھوتوں پر دستخط پاکستان کا ان کوششوں کی طرف ایک اور قدم ہے جس کا مقصد ٹیکس کے بین الاقوامی مروجہ اصولوں کا احترام کرنا اور کثیر الاقوامی فورم کی طرف سے اٹھائے جانے والے ان اقدامات کا حصہ بننا ہے جس میں ٹیکس کی عدم ادائیگی کو ناممکن بنانے اور آپس میں معلومات کا تبادلہ شامل ہے۔
سفیر پاکستان نے پاکستان کی ان کوششوں کا بھی ذکر کیا جو کہ پاکستان اس سمجھوتے سے پہلے اٹھا چکا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان پہلے ہی اوپن گورنمنٹ پارٹنرشپ (او جی پی) کے سمجھوتے پر دسمبر 2016 میں دستخط کر چکا ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ پاکستان او ای سی ڈی کے ساتھ کثیرالاقوامی کنونشن برائے ٹیکس قوانین کے اطلاق اور ٹیکس سے متعلقہ معاملات کے سمجھوتے پر بھی ستمبر 2016 کو دستخط کر چکا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے اس سال مارچ میں سوئیٹزرلینڈ کی حکومت کے ساتھ دوہرے ٹیکس سے اجتناب کے معائدے پر بھی دستحط کیئے۔ ان سمجھوتوں پر دستخط کرنے کا مقصد پاکستان کی ان کوششوں کا اظہار ہے جو کہ وہ شفاف، جوابدہ قومی ڈھانچہ استوار کرنے کے سلسلے میں اٹھا رہا ہے۔
اس سے قبل پاکستان نے کثیرالاقوامی مجاذ اتھارٹی اور خودکار تبادلہ برائے معاشی حسابات کے سمجھوتے پر بھی دستخط کیئے۔ اس سمجھوتے پر پاکستان کی طرف سے جناب محمد اقبال چیف انٹرنیشنل ٹیکسیز ایف بی آر نے دستخط کیئے۔ اس دستخطی تقریب میں سفیر پاکستان اور ڈپٹی سیکرٹری جنرل او ای سی ڈی کے علاوہ او ای سی ڈی کے سینئر آفیسران نے بھی شرکت کی۔

Circle K-2 held its Third Annual Seminar and attended Youth Convention

 

The Embassy of Pakistan to France is appreciative of Circle K2 a dynamic club of young Pakistani professionals and students for joining hands with the Embassy in its efforts to promote Pakistan in France.

A large number of Circle K2 members participated in the first ever Youth Convention held at the Embassy and contributed to its success.

The Ambassador briefed them about Pakistan-France relations and the Embassy initiative “Celebrating Pakistan” for promoting soft image of Pakistan in France.

Before the Convention, Circle K2 organized their Third Annual Seminar in which presentations on “Smart Cities” and ‘Financial Crises” were made for the benefit of the audience.

L’Ambassadeur du Pakistan en France S.E. M. Moin- ul- Haque a vanté les mérites du Pakistan comme destination privilégiée des hommes d’affaires, commerçants  et investisseurs français, lors de sa visite de trois jours en Normandie, France, du 17 au 19 mai 2017.

La visite a été organisée par le sénateur Pascal Allizard, président du groupe d’amitié Pakistan-France au Sénat et maire de Condé-en-Normandie.

Pendant sa visite, l’ambassadeur a été accueilli par les maires de trois villes, Caen, Arromanches et Condé-en-Normandie. Il a rencontré des Pakistanais qui y résident et a visité plusieurs d’établissements commerciaux et industriels.

Dans le discours prononcé lors d’une grande soirée organisée en son honneur par la Mairie de Condé-en-Normandie, l’Ambassadeur a remercié le sénateur Allizard de l’excellente organisation de la visite, qui, a-t-il expliqué,  faisait partie d’une initiative de sensibilisation dans diverses régions de France pour promouvoir le Pakistan et échanger avec les élus, hommes d’affaires, industriels, entrepreneurs et médias locaux pour leur fournir des renseignements sur les opportunités qui existent au Pakistan dans le domaine des affaires, de commerce et de l’investissement.

L’Ambassadeur a visité la célèbre entreprise française de produits laitiers Isigny-Saint-Mère, où M. Camille Mancelle, Directeur Export de l’usine lui a fait une présentation détaillée sur les installations de pointe disponibles dans l’usine pour la fabrication du fromage et du beurre. L’ambassadeur a également visité l’ADGène – un laboratoire de bio-analyse spécialisé en biologie moléculaire et microbiologie, chargé d’améliorer la productivité du secteur agricole.

A Cormelles-le-Royal, l’ambassadeur a visité l’usine PSA spécialisée dans la fabrication de systèmes de transmission pour plusieurs constructeurs automobiles, y compris Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall et Opel. L’ambassadeur a informé la direction de PSA que le Pakistan est un marché émergent qui offre de nombreuses opportunités d’investissement pour  les entreprises d’automatisation françaises.

Pakistan offers lucrative business, trade and investment opportunities

May 24, 2017. The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque promoted Pakistan as a preferred destination for French businesspersons, traders and investors during his three days visit to Normandy region of France from 17-19th may, 2017.

The visit was organized by French Senator Mr. Pascal Allizard, President, Pakistan-France Friendship Group in the French Senate and Mayor of Condé-en-Normandie.

During the visit Ambassador was hosted by Mayors of three cities including Caen, Arromanches and Conde-en-Normandie. He met with local Pakistanis and visited a number of business and industrial establishments.

While addressing a grand reception given in his honor by the city hall of Condé-en-Normandie, the Ambassador thanked Senator Allizard excellent organization of the visit. He said that the visit was part of this outreach initiative to various regions of France to promote Pakistan and to interact with the local French politicians, businesspersons, industrialists, entrepreneurs and media to brief them about the business, trade and investment opportunities available in Pakistan.

The Ambassador visited the famous French dairy company Isigny-Saint-Mère, where Mr. Camille Mancelle, Director Export of the factory gave him a detailed briefing on the state of art facilities available in the factory for making cheese and butter. Ambassador also visited the ADGène – Bio-analysis Laboratory specialized in molecular biology and microbiology mandated to improve productivity of the agriculture sector.

The Ambassador informed the managements of the factories that Pakistan has a strong agricultural base and is looking for modern food processing technologies to add value to its agriculture products.

At Cormelles-le-Royal, the Ambassador visited PSA Factory specialized in manufacturing transmission systems for multiple car manufacturers including Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall and Opel. The Ambassador informed PSA management that Pakistan is an emerging market and provides ample opportunities for French automations to invest in Pakistan.

Normandy is an important historic and diverse region of France, which specialize in food processing automotive and electric devices industry.

La toute première Convention de jeunes professionnels et étudiants pakistanais a eu lieu aujourd’hui à l’ambassade du Pakistan en France, à Paris.

Plus de 100 leaders de jeunesse et étudiants représentant différentes villes et régions de France ont assisté à la Convention, présidée par l’Ambassadeur du Pakistan en France S. E. M. Moin-ul- Haque.

Dans son discours à la Convention des jeunes, l’Ambassadeur a déclaré que les jeunes pakistanais sont de véritables ambassadeurs du Pakistan et jouent un rôle essentiel dans la promotion du Pakistan en France.

L’ambassadeur a exhorté les  étudiants pakistanais qui étudient dans différents établissements en France de s’investir pleinement dans la recherche de connaissances et l’acquisition de nouvelles compétences. Il leur a conseillé de se comporter comme des citoyens responsables de la France et créer une bonne image du Pakistan et de la communauté pakistanaise en fournissant un travail assidu, en se conduisant de façon exemplaire et en respectant des lois et coutumes locales.

L’Ambassadeur a informé les participants des divers aspects concernant des relations bilatérales entre le Pakistan et la France et les efforts déployés par l’Ambassade pour renforcer ces liens importants. Il a invité les jeunes pakistanais à se joindre à l’ambassade dans l’initiative de diplomatie culturelle et publique qu’elle a lancée, sur le thème «Célébrer le Pakistan», dont l’objectif est de présenter les beaux paysages du Pakistan et son patrimoine culturel riche et diversifié au peuple français.

L’Ambassadeur a encouragé les jeunes à jouer un rôle de premier plan pour organiser différents événements sous la bannière de «Célébrer le Pakistan» dans différentes régions et villes de France pour bâtir une image douce du Pakistan et de ses habitants.

Les leaders de la jeunesse ont participé activement et avec enthousiasme à la Convention et ont partagé leurs points de vue et leurs suggestions pour promouvoir le Pakistan en France.

Pak Embassy to France convened First Pakistani youth convention

 

May 21, 2017.      The first ever convention of young Pakistani professionals and students was held in the Embassy of Pakistan to France in Paris, today.

The Convention was presided over by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France H.E. Mr. Moin ul Haque and was attended by over 100 youth leaders and students representing different cities and regions of France.

While addressing the Youth Convention, the Ambassador said that Pakistani youth are the true ambassadors of Pakistan who are playing a vital role in promoting Pakistan in France.

The Ambassador urged the Pakistani students studying in various educational institutions of France to fully commit themselves in pursuit of knowledge and acquiring new skills. He advised them to be responsible citizens of France and earn a good name for Pakistan and the community through their hard work, exemplary conduct and respect of local laws and customs.

The Ambassador briefed the participants about various aspects of Pakistan-France bilateral relations and the efforts being made by the Embassy to strengthen these important relations. He invited the Pakistani youth to join the Embassy in its cultural and public diplomacy initiative “Celebrating Pakistan”, to introduce Pakistan’s beautiful landscapes and the rich and diverse cultural heritage to the people of France.

The Ambassador urged the youth to play a leading role for organizing different events conceived under the banner of “Celebrating Pakistan” in different regions and cities of France to build a soft image of Pakistan and its people.

The Youth leaders actively and enthusiastically participated in the Convention and shared their views and suggestions to promote Pakistan in France.

Le rôle de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé animale est vital pour la réduction de la pauvreté rurale

 

Paris, le 21 mai, 2017. Le Pakistan attache une grande importance à son partenariat avec l’Organisation mondiale de la santé animale (OIE) pour son développement de l’élevage, la lutte contre les maladies et l’atténuation globale de la pauvreté.

C’est ce que M. Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, le Ministre Fédéral de la Sécurité alimentaire et de la Recherche du Pakistan a déclaré lors d’un discours prononcé à l’occasion de la 85e session générale de l’Assemblée mondiale de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé animale (OIE) à Paris aujourd’hui. L’événement a réuni des délégués de 180 pays en plus d’observateurs d’organisations régionales et internationales.

En s’adressant à la session plénière, le ministre a déclaré que le rôle de l’Organisation mondiale de la santé animale est vital pour le développement socioéconomique rural, la sécurité alimentaire et la réduction de la pauvreté, en particulier dans les pays en développement comme le Pakistan.

Il a déclaré que  le développement de l’élevage joue un rôle important dans le développement socio-économique du Pakistan, puisque plus de 8 millions de familles tirent 35% de leurs revenus de ce secteur.  Faire face aux défis posés par les maladies à l’élevage reste une priorité pour le gouvernement du Pakistan. En félicitant l’OIE pour son soutien technique dans l’élaboration et la mise en œuvre de stratégies et de politiques de lutte contre les maladies au Pakistan, le ministre a informé les délégués que le Pakistan a réussi à éradiquer  la peste bovine en 2007 et la grippe aviaire en 2008, et a également lancé un programme national visant à éliminer la fièvre aphteuse dans le pays.

Le ministre espère que l’Assemblée générale de l’OIE élaborera des lignes directrices pour que les États membres organisent leurs pratiques d’élevage et de traitement selon des modèles plus scientifiques afin de mieux préserver à la fois la santé du bétail et des êtres humains.

Le Ministre considère que l’OIE est un forum précieux pour la discussion de nouvelles idées et des solutions à apporter aux problèmes existants, pour combler des lacunes dans le développement qualitative du secteur de l’élevage ainsi que pour son rôle de sensibilisation aux défis à venir.

L’Assemblée mondiale des délégués de l’OIE établit les politiques de l’OIE, examine les nouvelles normes intergouvernementales relatives aux méthodes de lutte contre les maladies animales et zoonotiques, la sécurité du commerce international des produits animaux ainsi que le bien-être des animaux.

Role of World Organization for Animal Heath is vital for rural poverty alleviation

 

Paris, 21st May, 2017.  Pakistan greatly values its partnership with World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for its livestock development, disease control and overall poverty alleviation.

This was stated by Mr. Sikandar Hayat Khan Bosan, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research during his speech delivered at the 85th General Session of OIE in Paris, today. The event was attended by delegates from 180 countries besides observers from regional and international organizations.

While addressing the Plenary Session, the Minister said that the role of World Organization for Animal Health is vital for rural socioeconomic development, food security and poverty alleviation, particularly in developing countries like Pakistan.

He said that in Pakistan, socio economic development hinges upon livestock development as over 8 million families derive 35% of their income from this sector. Addressing the challenge of livestock diseases remains a priority area for the government. He commended OIE’s technical support for developing and implementing disease control strategies and policies in Pakistan. Minister informed the delegates that Pakistan was successfully freed from rinderpest disease in 2007 and bird flu in 2008. It has also initiated a national program to eliminate Foot and Mouth Disease in the country.

Minister hoped that OIE General Assembly will develop guidelines for the member states to organize their animal husbandry and treatment practices on more scientific lines to better safeguard the health of the livestock as well as of the human beings.

The Minister termed OIE a valuable forum to deliberate new ideas and solutions for addressing the existing problems and bridging the gaps for qualitative development of livestock sector, and for discussing and creating awareness for the challenges ahead.

The World Assembly of OIE Delegates establishes the policies of OIE, examines new inter-governmental standards covering animal and zoonotic disease control methods; safety of international trade in animal and animal products as well as animal welfare.

مورخہ 21 مئی 2017ء: پاکستان جانوروں کی بیماریوں کے کنٹرول اور غربت کے خاتمے کیلئے عالمی تنظیم برائے جانوروں کی صحت کے ساتھ اپنی شراکت کو بہت اہمیت دیتا ہے۔
یہ بات جناب سکندر حیات خان بوسن وفاقی وزیر برائے نیشنل فوڈ، سکیورٹی و ریسرچ نے او آئی ای کے 85 جنرل سیشن جو کہ آج پیرس میں منعقد ہوا میں اپنی تقریر کے دوران کہی۔ اس تقریب میں 180 ممالک کے مندوبین کے علاوہ علاقائی اور بین الاقوامی تنظیموں کے مبصرین نے بھی شرکت کی۔
ابتدائی سیشن سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے وفاقی وزیر نے کہاکہ جانوروں کی صحت کیلئے عالمی تنظیم کا کردار خاص طور پر پاکستان جیسے ترقی پذیر ممالک میں دیہی سماجی و اقتصادی ترقی، خوراک کے تحفظ اور غربت کے خاتمے کیلئے بہت ہم ہے۔
پاکستان کی اقتصادی اور معاشی ترقی میں جانوروں کی صحت اور انکی مناسب دیکھ بھال بہت اہمیت رکھتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پاکستان میں 80 لاکھ سے زیادہ خاندانوں کی آمدنی کا دارومدار جانوروں سے متعلق کاروبار سے ہے۔ انہوں نے پاکستان میں حیاتیات کو درپیش خطرناک کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ پاکستان میں جانوروں کو لاحق بیماریوں پر قابو پانے کی بھرپور کوششیں کی جا رہی ہیں۔ انہوں نے او آئی ای کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ اوآئی ای ترقی پذیر ملکوں میں جانوروں کو درپیش صحت کے مسائل سے نمٹنے کیلئے بیش قیمت مدد فراہم کر رہی ہے۔
جناب وفاقی وزیر نے مزید کہا کہ پاکستان نے کامیابی سے Rinderpest کی بیماری پر 2007 میں قابو پالیا تھا۔ جبکہ ملک سے برڈ فلو کا خاتمہ 2008 میں کر دیا تھا۔ انہو ں نے کہا کہ پاکستان نے قومی پروگرام پر عمل درآمد کررہا ہے جس کے تحت جانوروں میں کھروں اور منہ کی بیماریو ں سے نجات دلانے میں مدد ملے گی۔
وفاقی وزیر نے امید ظاہر کی کہ عالمی ادارہ براوے صحت حیاتیات، ترقی پذیر ملکوں میں رہنما اصول مرتب کرے گا۔ تاکہ جانوروں کو درپیش بیماریوں سے سائنسی بنیادوں پر قابو پانے میں مدد مل سکے۔
بین الاقوامی ادارہ برائے صحت حیاتیات کے چار روزہ اجلاس کے موقع پر دنیا بھر سے آئے ہوئے مندوبین ادارہ کے اجلاس کے ذریعے سے مختلف ملکوں میں جانوروں کی صحت کے بارے میں معیار کو بہتر کریں گے تاکہ جانور وں کے سلسلے میں بیماریوں پر قابو پانے کے طریقوں کو بہتر بنیا جاسکے اور جانوروں کی بین الاقوامی تجارت کو محفوظ بنانے کے ساتھ ساتھ ان کی صحت کے معیار کو بھی بہتر بنایا جاسکے۔
