Paris, 16 Feb, 2018. The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque met with a cross-section of Pakistani community and representatives of Pakistani media in Paris and thanked them for their continued support to the Embassy in its efforts to further strengthen bilateral relations between France and Pakistan and its various projects for promoting soft image of the country.

During the meeting, the Ambassador gave a comprehensive briefing on various developments of 2017 and the planned activities for 2018. He also informed them about the measures taken by the Embassy for improving the quality and efficiency of Consular Services and Embassy’s outreach initiatives.

Ambassador said that bilateral trade between France and Pakistan is following an un-upward trajectory, noting with satisfaction that bilateral trade in the outgoing year of 2017 has registered significant increase with balance of trade in favor of Pakistan.

The Ambassador said that investments from France were also increasing with more and more French companies are taking interest to invest in Pakistan and benefit from the Special Economic Zones which are being set up in Pakistan as part of CPEC Project.

The Ambassador informed them that as a part of its economic diplomacy initiative, the Embassy in collaboration with Board of Investment, Pakistan and MEDEF France will organize a trade and investment seminar in Paris in the month of March.

The Ambassador said that the Pakistani diaspora is an asset for the country and we greatly value their suggestions/recommendations to improve efficiency of the Embassy’s services. He invited them to be an active and effective partner with the Embassy in its efforts to promote the interests of Pakistan in France.

The Ambassador especially thanked the Pakistan media persons based in France for their continued support in promoting the public diplomacy and economic diplomacy initiatives of the Embassy and assured that the Embassy will continue to extend its support to them in discharge of their professional assignments.

فرانس میں مقیم پاکستانی برادری سفارت خانہ پاکستان کے ساتھ مل کر دوطرفہ تجارت اور سرمایہ کاری کے فروغ کیلئے کام کر رہی ہے۔

پیرس 16 فروری 2018 جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان نے پاکستانی برادری اور پاکستانی صحافتی نمائندوں سے پیرس میں ملاقات کی اور ان کا مسلسل سفارت خانہ کے ساتھ مل کر فرانس اور پاکستان کے درمیان باہمی تعلقات میں اضافے، مختلف منصوبوں میں تعاون اور ملک کے مثبت پہلوں اجاگر کرنے پر ان کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔

ملاقات کے دوران سفیر پاکستان نے پاکستانی برادری کو سال 2017 میں ہونے والی ترقیوں اور سال 2018 کے پروگراموں کی منصوبہ بندی کے بارے میں تفصیلی آگاہی فراہم کی۔ انہو ں نے سفارت خانہ کی جانب سے قونصل خانہ کی بہتر کارکردگی اور معیار کیلئے جو اقدامات اٹھائے گئے ہیں ان کے بارے میں بھی تفصیلی آگاہی فراہم کی۔

سفیر پاکستان نے گزشتہ سال 2017 میں پاکستان اور فرانس کے درمیان دوطرفہ تجارت اور سرمایہ کاری کے اضافے پر اطمینان کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ دو طرفہ تجارتی اضافہ پاکستان کے مفاد میں ہے۔

سفیر پاکستان نے کہا کہ زیادہ سے زیادہ فرانسیسی کمپنیاں پاکستان میں سرمایہ کاری کرنے کیلئے چائینہ پاکستان اقتصادی راہداری کے منصوبے کے تحت قائم کئے گئے خصوصی اقتصادی زونز سے مستفید ہونے کیلئے خصوصی دلچسپی لے رہی ہیں۔

سفیر پاکستان نے انہیں بتایا کہ مارچ کے مہینے میں سفارت خانہ، پاکستان بورڈ آف انویسٹمنٹ اور میڈیف فرانس کے تعاون سے پیرس میں ایک تجارتی و سرمایہ کاری سیمینار منعقد کر رہا ہے جو سفارت خانہ پاکستان کی اقتصادی سفارتکای اقدامات کا حصہ ہے۔

سفیر پاکستان نے کہا کہ بیرون ملک مقیم پاکستانی ملک کا عظیم اثاثہ ہیں اور سفارت خانہ ان کی دی گئی تجاویز و آراء کو قدر کی نگاہ سے دیکھتا ہے۔ سفیر پاکستان نے انہیں پاکستان اور فرانس کے درمیان بہتر مفاد میں سفارت خانہ کے ساتھ ملک کر کام کرنے کی بھی دعوت دی۔

سفیر پاکستان نے پاکستانی صحافیوں کا خصوصی طور پر شکریہ ادا کیا کہ انہوں نے عوامی سفارتکاری اور اقتصادی سفارتکاری اقدامات کے فروغ کیلئے سفارت خانہ کی مسلسل حمایت کی ہے اور سفارت خانہ نے بھی انہیں یقین دلایا کہ سفارت خانہ ان کی پیشہ ورانہ ذمہ داریوں کی حمایت جاری رکھے گا۔

L’Ambassadeur du Pakistan en France, S.E. M. Moin ul Haque, a rencontré à Paris un échantillon  représentatif de la communauté pakistanaise et des représentants des médias pakistanais en France et les a remerciés pour leur soutien continue à l’Ambassade dans ses efforts visant à renforcer les relations bilatérales entre la France et le Pakistan, et pour ses divers projets visant à promouvoir une image douce du pays.

Au cours de la réunion, l’Ambassadeur a détaillé les récentes évolutions survenues en 2017 et les activités prévues pour 2018. Il les a également informés des mesures prises par l’ambassade pour améliorer la qualité et l’efficacité des services consulaires et des initiatives de sensibilisation de l’ambassade.

L’Ambassadeur a indiqué que les échanges bilatéraux entre la France et le Pakistan continue de progresser, notant avec satisfaction que le commerce bilatéral en 2017 a enregistré une augmentation significative profitant à la balance commerciale du Pakistan.

L’Ambassadeur a indiqué que les investissements de la France sont également en augmentation avec l’intérêt croissant des entreprises françaises pour investir au Pakistan et bénéficier des Zones Economiques Spéciales qui s’établissent  au Pakistan dans le cadre du projet CPEC.

L’Ambassadeur les a informés que dans le cadre de son initiative de diplomatie économique, l’Ambassade en collaboration avec le Conseil de l’Investissement au Pakistan et le MEDEF en France organisera un séminaire à Paris en mars cette année sur le commerce et l’investissement.

L’Ambassadeur a déclaré que la diaspora pakistanaise est un atout pour le pays et  que ses conseils et recommandations pour améliorer l’efficacité des services de l’ambassade était grandement appréciés. Il a invité la communauté à devenir un partenaire actif et efficace de l’Ambassade dans ses efforts pour promouvoir les intérêts du Pakistan en France.

L’Ambassadeur a tout particulièrement remercié les représentants des médias pakistanais basés en France pour leur soutien constant à la promotion des initiatives de diplomatie publique et économique de l’Ambassade et a assuré que l’Ambassade continuera à leur apporter son soutien dans l’accomplissement de leurs missions professionnelles.

27 Pakistan companies attend Texworld 2018 in Paris

Paris, 12 Feb, 2018. Twenty-seven Pakistan companies are showcasing a wide range of their high quality products including fabrics, garments, knitwear and denim at the 4 day 42^nd edition of the Texworld exhibition being held in Paris from 11-14 February, 2018.

Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque visited the Pakistan Pavilion established at the exhibition and met various companies and thanked them for their participation. He appreciated the variety of high end fabrics, cotton wears, jeans and other textile products which were specially designed to meet the taste and preferences of European clients. The Ambassador also requested their feedback and recommendations to make participation of Pakistani companies more fruitful and result oriented in the upcoming fairs being held in Paris.

The Ambassador noted with satisfaction that the Pakistan’s exports to France are following an upward trajectory since the launch of economic diplomacy initiated by the Embassy in 2016. In the year 2016, Pakistan’s exports registered an increase of 16% while preliminary data for 2017 is also indicating a good increase in the exports.

Later, the Ambassador also met with the Mr. Micheal Scherpe, President of Texworld on the sidelines of the exhibition and discussed with him the ways and means to further improve participation of Pakistani companies in the Texworld fairs being held twice every year in Paris.

Some of the major Pakistani textile groups/exporters like Nishat Mills, Kohinoor, Sapphire, Kamal Limited, Siddique Sons and Master Textile had established their theme based customized pavilions which attracted large numbers of potential buyers.

The Texworld held twice every year is a popular trade fair exclusively for professionals from the textile and fashion industry. It is a valuable and efficient gateway to the European market for international textile manufacturers. Over 1000 exhibitors from 27 countries are participating in the fair.

Senates of Pakistan and France agreed to deepen bilateral parliamentary ties

Paris 18^th January, 2018. A four member parliamentary delegation headed by Senator Lt. Gen ® Abdul Qayyum, Convener of the Pakistan-France Friendship Group at the Senate of Pakistan and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Defense Production paid a two-day official visit to France from 16-18 January on the invitation of Senator Pascal Allizard, the President of the Pakistan France Friendship Group in the French Senate.

Senator Muhammad Saleh Shah from FATA, Senator Muhammad Usman Kakar from Balochistan and Senator Baz Muhammad Khan from KPK were other members of the delegation.

During its two-day stay in Paris, the delegation met M. Christian Cambon, President of French Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defense, Mr. Jean-Bernard Sempastous, President of Pakistan-France Friendship Group in the National Assembly and Mr. Thierry Pflimlin, President of Pakistan-France Business Council. It also received briefings at the French Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs and also visited French state Railways SNCF.

During the meetings, Senator Abdul Qayyum said that Pakistan attached great importance to its relation with France being a key European country and stressed the need to further cement and expand the existing bilateral relations in the fields of commerce, trade and investments, scientific research, energy, environment, education and culture. We encouraged more official exchanges, ministerial visits leading to the visit of French Prime Minister and President to Pakistan.

He briefed his French counterparts about Pakistan’s efforts in curbing terrorism. He said that the Pakistani nation through unprecedented sacrifices has defeated the forces of terrorism and extremism, and today Pakistan was on the path of peace and development with an impressive growth rate, infrastructure development and improvement of social sector.

Senators also briefed their French counterparts about the situation in South Asia, in particular the human rights violations in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. They urged France, being a permanent Member of the United Nations Security Council, to play its role for bringing peace and stability in South Asia and for resolution of Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nation Security Council Resolutions.

The delegation also visited MEDEF and was received by M. Thierry Pflimlin, President Pakistan-France Business Council. Mr. Pflimlin briefed the senators about the current state of business relations between Pakistan and France. He stated that there was a renewed interest amongst French companies due to impressive economic growth and numerous investment opportunities in Pakistan.

During the meetings, both sides underlined the importance on parliamentary exchanges. It was noted that recent visits of parliamentary delegations from French to Pakistan in December last year had proved immensely beneficial to further strengthen and consolidate the existing parliamentary relations. Such visits provide a useful opportunity for better understanding of issues through open and candid dialogue.

The delegation also attended a session of the French Senate and took a deep interest in its proceedings.

Le Pakistan et la France approfondissent leur coopération en archéologie

Paris, le 15 décembre 2017.

Les étudiants et les chercheurs pakistanais bénéficient du transfert de connaissances et de compétences grâce à un programme de formation spécialisé qui se déroule actuellement à Paris pour approfondir la coopération bilatérale dans le domaine de l’archéologie.

Mme. Aurore Didier, Chef de la Mission archéologique française dans le Bassin de l’Indus (MAFBI) en a fait part lors de sa rencontre avec l’Ambassadeur du Pakistan en France, S.E. M. Moin ul Haque, qui s’est tenue aujourd’hui à l’Ambassade du Pakistan à Paris. Mme. Didier a également présenté les six étudiants pakistanais de MPhil/ Phd (maîtrise/ doctorat), qui sont actuellement à Paris pour suivre ce programme de formation.

L’Ambassadeur a déclaré que la France et le Pakistan ont une longue tradition de coopération forte et continue dans le domaine de l’archéologie, remontant à la première mission sur le terrain d’une équipe archéologique française en 1958. Il et a noté que les importantes découvertes faites par l’équipe française au Baloutchistan et au Sindh, ont considérablement contribué à la compréhension des cultures et civilisations anciennes au Pakistan.

Il a indiqué que l’ambassade prévoyait de célébrer les 60 ans de la première mission archéologique française au Pakistan en organisant un événement spécial l’année prochaine à Paris pour mettre en valeur la richesse historique et archéologique du Pakistan.

L’Ambassadeur a également vivement apprécié le soutien de la MAFBI et du Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires étrangères pour former des étudiants et des chercheurs pakistanais et leur inculquer les techniques de fouille et les compétences et les connaissances les plus récentes dans le domaine de l’archéologie.

La mission archéologique française dans le bassin de l’Indus a été fondée en 1958 et depuis, elle a fouillé d’importants sites archéologiques au Pakistan comme Amri dans le Sindh, et Mehrgarh. Nindowari, Nausharo, Miri Qalat et Shahi Tomb au Baloutchistan.

Pakistan and France deepens Cooperation in Archeology

Paris 15^th December, 2017. Pakistani students and researchers are benefitting from the transfer of knowledge and skills through a specialized training program being conducted in Paris to further deepen the bilateral cooperation in the field of archaeology.

Dr. Aurore Didier, Head of the French Archaeological Mission in the Indus Basin (MAFBI) said this during her meeting with the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque held at the Embassy of Pakistan, in Paris today. Dr. Didier also introduced second batch of 6 Pakistani M Phil/ PhD students, who are currently on a study tour in Paris.

The Ambassador said that France and Pakistan have a long history of strong and continuous cooperation in the field of archaeology, dating back to the first field mission by a French archaeological team in 1958 and noted that the important discoveries made by the French team in Balochistan and Sindh, had greatly contributed to understanding of ancient cultures and civilizations in Pakistan.

He said that the Embassy is planning to mark the 60 years of the first French archaeological mission to Pakistan by organizing a special event next year in Paris to showcase Pakistan’s historical and archeological richness.

The Ambassador also deeply appreciated the support of MAFBI and French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs for training of the Pakistani students and researchers and imparting them with latest excavation techniques, skills and knowledge in the field of archeology.

The French archaeological mission in the Indus Basin was founded in 1958 and since then it has excavated major archaeological sites in Pakistan such as Amri in Sindh, Mehrgarh. Nindowari, Nausharo, Miri Qalat and Shahi Tomb in Balochistan.

France Pakistan Bilateral Relations are warming up on all fields

Paris 11^th Decembe​​​​r 2017. Close and friendly relations between Pakistan and France are getting stronger through a series of new initiatives and exchange of visits in the political, economic, cultural and educational fields.

This was stated by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque while speaking with a delegation of 107^th National Management Course, who called on him at the Embassy of Pakistan to France in Paris today. The 14-members NMC delegation is visiting France as part of their training course.

The Ambassador said that this month two parliamentary delegations from France are visiting Pakistan while a delegation of the Senate of Pakistan is expected to visit Paris in January 2018.  These contacts between our parliamentarians would contribute in a qualitative change in the bilateral relations, he added.

The Ambassador noted with satisfaction that there has been a steady increase in the volume of bilateral trade over the last few years which has reached US$ 1.4 billion in 2016.  France has remained a major investment partner of Pakistan with over forty French companies working in Pakistan. The recent announcement by the Renault group to set up a car plant in Karachi in partnership with Al Futtaim group is a welcome development.

Ambassador expressed the hope that NMC’s visit to Paris would provide them a good opportunity to learn about the French administrative structure, their training regimes and best practices and policies in other fields.

NMC delegation during their weeklong stay in Paris would have meetings/briefings at the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Climate Change, French Parliament, National School of Administration (ENA), Centre of High Studies of Ministry of Interior (CHEMI), UNESCO and Mairie of Sarcelles.

فرانس پاکستان کے درمیان تمام شعبوں میں دوطرفہ تعلقات میں اضافہ ہو رہا ہے

پیرس:  11 دسمبر2017ء: پاکستان اور فرانس کے درمیان نئے اقدامات، سیاسی، اقتصادی، ثقافتی اور تعلیمی شعبوں کے وفود کے تبادلوں کی وجہ سے دوطرفہ دوستانہ تعلقات میں اضافہ ہو رہا ہے۔

جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان نے یہ بات 107ویں نیشنل منیجمنٹ کورس کے وفد سے اپنی گفتگو میں کہی جنہوں نے آج سفارت خانہ پاکستان پیرس میں سفیر پاکستان سے ملاقات کی۔ این ایم سی کے 14رکنی وفد کا فرانس کا یہ دورہ ان کے تربیتی کورس کا حصہ ہے۔

سفیر پاکستان نے کہا کہ اس ماہ دو فرانسیسی پارلیمانی وفود پاکستان کا دورہ کر رہے ہیں۔ جبکہ پاکستانی سینٹ کے وفد کا دورہ فرانس جنوری 2018 میں متوقع ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ہمارے پارلیمانی اراکین کے درمیان رابطوں سے دوطرفہ تعلقات میں مثبت تبدیلی آئے گی۔

سفیر پاکستان نے اطمینان کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ گذشتہ چند سالوں میں دوطرفہ تجارت میں مسلسل اضافہ ہو رہا ہے جس کا تجارتی حجم 2016 میں  1.4 ڈالر تک پہنچ گیا تھا۔ فرانس اب تک چالیس کمپنیوں کے ساتھ پاکستان میں سرمایہ کاری کر رہا ہے جبکہ حال ہی میں فرانسیسی کار بنانے والی رینالٹ کمپنی الفطیم گروپ کے ساتھ مل کر کراچی میں اپنا کار پلانٹ لگانے کا اعلان کرچکی ہے جو کہ ایک خوش آئند ترقی کا باعث ہوگی۔

سفیر پاکستان نے امید ظاہر کی کہ این ایم سی کے وفد کو پیرس کے دورے سے فرنسیسی انتظامی ڈھانچے، ان کے تربیتی نظاموں، پالیسیوں اور دیگر شعبوں کے بارے میں سیکھنے کا موقع ملے گا۔

این ایم سی کا وفد پیرس میں اپنے ایک ہفتہ کے دورے کے دوران فرانسیسی وزارت معیشت، وزارت موسمی تبدیلی، فرانسیسی پارلیمان، قومی سکول انتظامیہ، اعلی تعلیمی مرکز برائے وزارت داخلہ، یونیسکو اور میئر سارسل سے ملاقاتیں کرے گا۔
