Pakistan Embassy to France hosted a Diplomatic Reception to Mark Pakistan Day
Paris 26th March, 2019. Embassy of Pakistan to France hosted a simple yet elegant diplomatic reception in Paris yesterday to mark the Pakistan Day.
Mr. Pascal Alizard, President Pakistan-France Friendship Group in the French Senate, Mr. Francois Pupponi, the Vice President of France-Pakistan Friendship Group in the French National Assembly, other parliamentarians, mayors, high level French dignitaries, members of the Diplomatic Corps, intellectuals, scholars, and members of French and Pakistani media attended the reception in large number.
During the ceremony, guests from all walks of life interacted with each other and congratulated officers and staff of the Pakistan Embassy on their National Day.
Live Pakistani national songs along with documentaries on Pakistan were played during the reception. The participants also showed keen interest in the photographic exhibition by Imran Y. Choudhary and Mr. Bilal Javaid depicting the scenic and cultural treasures of Pakistan
The guests were treated with traditional and signature Pakistani dishes.

Pakistan Day was celebrated in France with the renewed pledge to make Pakistan a prosperous and stronger country.
Paris 22nd March, 2019: A simple and elegant flag hoisting ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan in France, Paris today to commemorate Pakistan Day with a renewed pledge to make our country stronger and prosperous.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Pakistani community, officers of the missions and their families and media persons in large number.
The massages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan issued on the occasion were also read.
In his address, the Ambassador recalled the vision of Allama Iqbal for a separate homeland for the Muslims of South Asia and the charismatic and able leadership of Quaid-e-Azam which secured freedom in the shape of Pakistan.
He said that we have earned freedom through great sacrifices of our forefathers and it is now our responsibility to work hard collectively for the development of our country.
The Ambassador said this is the time that our traditional commemoration of the Pakistan Day should translate into a sincere resolve and determination to forge unity, faith and discipline in our ranks and to make Pakistan a great country amongst the comity of nations.
The Ambassador thanked the Pakistani community in France for their constructive role in projecting Pakistan’s positive image in France. He called upon them to support the policies and initiatives of the government to bring peace in the region, attract foreign investment and businesses to Pakistan and contribute in the socio-economic development of the country.

Embassy of Pakistan hosts semifinal of Debating Competition of French Debating Association
Paris 22nd March, 2019. The semifinal of the debating competition on the topic “Art will change society faster than politics”, organized by the French Debating Association was hosted by the Embassy of Pakistan to France in Paris yesterday.
The event was attended by a large number of French University students, their parents and teachers.
In his remarks, Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. MoinulHaque, who was Chief Guest on the occasion, appreciated the role of the French Debating Association for promoting a healthy culture of debate on critical issues which also helps in fostering respect for each other’s point of view.
The Ambassador said that the motion of the debate was interesting as many a times politics tend to affect the importance of art and culture in our societies. He gave the example of Pakistan, which was a cradle of civilizations, has a rich history and diverse cultural heritage. However, these beautiful aspects of Pakistan were overshadowed by the geopolitics in our region.
A documentary was shown on the occasion to show the beauty and diversity of Pakistan to the students.
French Debating Association is a prestigious organization, holding debating competitions in English Language for the last 26 years. This year’s final will be held at the French National Assembly on 1st April. The Ambassador of Pakistan will be a member of the Jury.

Paris, 20th March, 2019. The Festival of Nowruz was celebrated at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, yesterday to mark the beginning of the spring.
The UNESCO delegations of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan organized the event to contribute to the cultural diversity and friendship among peoples and different communities.
Ambassador of Pakistan to France and Pakistan’s Permanent Delegate to UNESCO Mr. Moin ul Haque represented Pakistan as one of the host countries.
During the festival, the guests were entertained with cultural performances and traditional cuisine of participating countries.
The festival of Nowruz was inscribed on the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016.

Pakistan offered its tourism treasures at the World Tourism Fair in Paris
Paris 14th March, 2019. The beauty of Pakistan, splendor of its landscapes, richness of its history, diversity of its culture, hospitality of its people, flavors of its cuisine and luster of its arts and crafts was showcased at one of the world’s biggest tourism fair, the Salon Mondial du Tourism, in Paris from 14th to 17th of March, 2019.
For the first time, the Embassy has set up a Pakistani Pavilion at the fair, with the participation and support of the Tourism Departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. The Pakistan Pavilion provided useful information to the visitors about tourism opportunities in Pakistan and as well various tour packages being offered by the French and Pakistani tour operators.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque who inaugurated the Pakistan pavilion in Paris today said that the Embassy has taken a number of concrete steps to introduce touristic opportunities of Pakistan to the French and European tourists which included launching of dynamic tourism website in French Language, sending top French tour operators to Pakistan last year, organization of an International Conference on Mountains of Pakistan and setting up of a tourism booth and a tourism office in the Embassy.
He noted with satisfaction that as result of these initiatives, the Pakistan tour packages offered by the French tour operators for the year 2019 are fully sold and keeping in view the increasing demand, French tour operators are diversifying their packages to Pakistan.
The Ambassador said that the current decision of the government to give visa on arrival and online visa facilities to the citizens of large number of countries including France is an excellent policy decision and will help in giving much needed boost to the emerging tourism industry of Pakistan.
