 Prophet’s life is a source of eternal inspiration and guidance

Paris, 11^th May, 2020.  The Embassy of Pakistan to France organized a virtual Mehfil e Seerat to pay tribute to the Holy Prophet S.AW.  The event was organised on 17th Ramadan, the day of the battle of Badr, a turning point in the history of Islam.

The event commenced with recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Syed Sadaqat Ali (Sitara Imtiaz) followed by poetry recitation in praise of the Prophet S.A.W by an inspiring poet Waqar Naseem Wamiq and a series of Naat recitations.

Renowned Islamic scholar and expert on Iqbal Dr. Tahir Tanoli in his key note speech highlighted the importance of following the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) to bring peace and harmony to the world. He said that Prophet (P.B.U.H) was an embodiment of truthfulness and justice.

While replying to a question he said that it is a misconception that science is an antithesis to the religion of Islam. Inspired by the Quranic teachings, a number of Muslim scientists made monumental contributions to science. Islam’s message is to learn and progress.

He further said that the Quran and love for Prophet (P.B.U.H) is the cornerstone for Iqbal’s poetry. His various couplets are literal translation of the Quranic teachings.

Ambassador of Pakistan to France, Mr. Moin ul Haq in his remarks said that the current coronavirus pandemic is a multi dimensional challenge to humanity but at the same time offers an opportunity to improve ourselves and come out of this crisis as better human beings. He said that men of faith never lose hope, their resilience enables them to defeat challenges. He paid a rich tribute to Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and stated that Prophet’s noble life serves as the complete and eternal guidance for humanity.

The event ended with a heart touching supplication to Holy Prophet S.A.W presented by Noor Muhammad Jarraal, an established poet, and a prayer for Pakistan, Kashmir and entire humanity.

The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani community members in France, guests from various countries and media personnel.

Ambassador’s virtual meeting with France-based Pakistani Journalists

Paris 1^st May 2020. The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque held a virtual meeting with France-based Pakistani journalists yesterday and apprised them of various steps taken to provide relief and assistance to Pakistani community members affected by the coronavirus epidemic.

He also informed the journalists about the policy of the Government of Pakistan regarding operation of special flights to bring back home stranded Pakistanis worldwide and transportation of dead bodies from abroad to Pakistan. As these two issues pertain to France also, he assured the community that the Embassy has taken them up with the concerned authorities for an early resolution.

The Ambassador urged the community to donate generously in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for COVID 19 to help the Government of Pakistan in providing relief to the vulnerable segments of the society during the epidemic.

He called upon the Pakistan community in France to raise their voice against the brutal repression of Kashmiris in Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and stigmatization of Muslims in India during the coronavirus epidemic.

The Ambassador also reassured the community that the Embassy stands by them in these difficult times.

سفیر پاکستان نے صحافیوں کو دنیا بھر میں پھنسے ہوئے پاکستانیوں کو وطن واپس لانے اور اور بیرون ملک سے پاکستانیوں کی لاشوں کو وطن منتقل کرنے کیلئے حکومت پاکستان کی جانب سے خصوصی پروازیں چلائے جانے کی پالیسی کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا اور کہا کہ چونکہ یہ دونوں مسائل فرانس سے بھی وابستہ ہیں اس لیئے سفارت خانہ ان معملات کو جلد از جلد حل کرنے کیلئے متعلقہ حکام سے رابطہ میں ہے۔

سفیر پاکستان نے پاکستانی کمیونٹی سے پرزور درخواست کی کہ وہ وزیراعظم کے ریلیف فنڈ کوویڈ19 میں فراغ دلی سے بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لیں تاکہ اس مہلک وباء کے دوران معاشرے کے کمزور اور مستحق افراد کو مدد فراہم کرنے میں حکومت پاکستان کی مدد کی جاسکے۔

سفیر پاکستان نے پاکستانی کمیونٹی سے مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر میں کشمیریوں پر بھارت کی جانب سے ہونے والے وحشیانہ ظلم و ستم کے خلاف اپنی آواز اٹھائیں۔

سفیر پاکستان نے انہیں یہ بھی یقین دلایا کہ سفارت خانہ اس مشکل گھڑی میں ان کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑا ہے۔

 Message of the Ambassador of Pakistan to France on start of Holly month of Ramadan

Paris 23^rd April, 2020. On behalf of the members of the Embassy and on my own behalf, I wish all of you a blessed and rewarding Holy month of Ramadan.

Ramadan is a month of fasting, offering prayers and of seeking forgiveness. It is a month of showing respect to each other, having compassion for people in need and taking care of vulnerables of our society.

I am sure that you would perform your religious obligations in this month while observing all necessary precautions announced by the French authorities for COVID 19.

I may also appeal to the well to do Pakistanis to help poor and needy Pakistanis and those who have lost their livelihood due to COVID 19 lockdown.

May this blessed month brings peace, happiness and prosperity for all of you and your loved ones.

May Allah Protect us, our country and our compatriots in these difficult times.

Wishing once again all of you a blessed, safe and spiritually rewarding holy month of Ramadan.

پیرس 23 اپریل 2020: میں اپنی اور سفارت خانہ کے دیگر اراکین کی طرف سے آپ سب کو رمضان المبارک کے بابرکت مہینے کی آمد پر مبارک باد پیش کرتا ہوں۔

رمضان المبارک نماز پڑھنے، روزہ رکھنے، اللہ پاک سے اپنے گناہوں کی مغفرت طلب کرنے، ایک دوسرے سے ادب و احترام سے پیش آنے، ضرورت مندوں کے ساتھ ہمدردی اور معاشرے کے غریب اور نادار لوگوں کا خیال رکھنے کا احساس دلانے والا مہینہ ہے۔

مجھے یقین ہے کہ آپ فرانسیسی حکام کی طرف سے کوویڈ19 کیلئے جاری کردہ احتیاطی تدابیر پر عمل کرتے ہوئے ماہ رمضان میں اپنی مذہبی ذمہ داریاں نبھائیں گے۔

میری آپ سب سے یہ بھی درخواست ہے کہ کوویڈ19کی وجہ سے جو پاکستانی کمیونٹی کے غریب اور نادار لوگ متاثر ہوئے ہیں ان کی بھرپور مدد کریں۔

Condolence Message

Paris 17^th April, 2020. On behalf of the members of the Embassy of Pakistan to France and on my own behalf, I would like to extend my deepest condolences and grief over the sad demise of Mr. Zia ul Haq who passed away near Paris due to COVID-19.

Inna LiAllah wa inna alaihai rajaioon

May Almighty Allah bless the departed soul in eternal peace and give patience, courage and fortitude to the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.

I would also request the community members to pray for eternal peace of the departed soul.

Ambassador of Pakistan to France sent a video message to the Pakistani Community of France

Paris, 15^th April, 2020. Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque sent a video message to the Pakistani community of France in Paris today.

In his message, the Ambassador condoled the death of Pakistanis who lost their lives due to COVID 19. He also prayed for the early recovery of those who are confirmed positive of COVID 19.

He assured the community that the Embassy is aware of the problems faced by the community in burying of dead bodies and their transportation to Pakistan. He said that the Embassy would extend all possible help to the bereaved families.

He said that the Embassy is also aware of the problem faced by jobless Pakistani community members, elders and handicapped who are facing hardships due to COVID 19 lockdown. He said that the Embassy was providing essential food items to them to mitigate their problems in these difficult times.

Ambassador said that the Embassy of Pakistan is also aware of the hardships faced by the stranded Pakistanis. He requested that stranded Pakistanis to get themselves registered with the Embassy to enable it to take up their case with the relevant authorities.

The Ambassador said that the government of Pakistan and its people are also fighting COVID 19 in Pakistan and national resources are employed to deal with this huge crisis.

He appealed the well off expatriate Pakistanis to come forward and contribute generously in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund of COVID 19.
