21 Pakistani textile companies participated in Texworld held in Paris

Paris 13^th Feb 2020. Twenty one Pakistani companies dealing in fabric, garments and home textile participated in the Texworld, the Europe’s premier textile B2B exhibition held in Paris from 10^th to 13^th of this month.

Many major textile production houses of Pakistan including Nishat Mills, Kohinoor Mills, Kamal Limited and Master Textile established their exclusive purpose build pavilions to showcase their diverse products ranging from basics to more creative and high-quality fabrics. Trade Development Authority of Pakistan also facilitated participation of a number of companies in the fabric, apparel sourcing and denim sectors.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque welcomed stating Pakistani companies to Pakistan’s participation in this important exhibition that this provides a unique opportunity to interact and network with their counterparts from other countries, bench mark best practices and strike business deals which would help in augmenting our textile exports.

A total of 1700 exhibitors from 24 countries participated in the Texworld attracting over 29000 traders, business persons, manufactures and representatives of buying houses from 113 countries.

The Texworld, held twice every year, is a valuable and efficient gateway for international textile manufacturers and professionals to the rich and affluent European markets.

اکیس پاکستانی ٹیکسٹائل کمپنیوں نے پیرس ٹیکس ورلڈ میں بھرپور انداز سے شرکت

پیرس، 13 فروری:2020 پیرس میں منعقدہ یورپ کی سب سے بڑی ٹیکس ورلڈ نمائش میں پاکستان کی اکیس کمپنیوں نے اپنی معیاری صنعتی مصنوعات کے ساتھ بھرپور انداز سے شرکت کی۔ یہ ٹیکسٹائل نمائش اس ماہ کی 10 تا 13 تک جاری رہے گی۔

پاکستان کی صنعت سے وابستہ معروف بڑی کمپنیاں جن میں نشاط ملز، کوہ نور ملز، کمال لمیٹڈ اور ماسٹر ٹیکسٹائل نے اپنی اعلی اور معیاری منصوعات کے اس نمائش میں سٹال لگائے تاکہ وہ اپنی اعلی اور معیاری مصنوعات کو یورپین ممالک میں متعارف کرواسکیں۔ پاکستان ٹریڈ ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی نے کپڑے، تیارشدہ ملبوسات اور جینز سے تعلق رکھنے والی کمپنیوں کو بھی اس نمائش میں شرکت کرنے کیلئے سہولیات فراہم کیں۔

سفیر پاکستان برائے فرانس جناب معین الحق نے پاکستانی کمپنیوں کو اس اہم نمائش میں اپنی اعلی، معیاری اور منفرد مصنوعات کے ساتھ شرکت کرنے پر ان کا خیرمقدم کیا اور کہا کہ اس طرح کی نمائش میں شرکت سے انہیں اپنے ہم منصبوں سے ملنے، بات چیت کرنے اور اپنی کاروباری منصوعات کو فروغ دینے میں مدد ملنے کے ساتھ ساتھ نئے کاروباری طریقہ کار سے بھی روشنائی حاصل ہو سکتی ہے جس سے ہمارے ملک کی صنعت کے کاروبار میں اضافہ ہو گا۔

اس ٹیکس ورلڈ نمائش میں چوبیس ممالک کے 1700 نمائش کنندگان نے شرکت کی اور ایک سو تیرہ ممالک کے 29000 سے زائدشرکت کرنے والے تاجروں، کاروباری افراد اورمصنوعات بنانے والوں کے نمائندوں کو اپنی مصنوعات کی طرف راغب کیا۔

ٹیکس ورلڈ نمائش سال میں دو مرتبہ لگائی جاتی ہے جس کا مقصد بین الاقوامی صنعتی مصنوعات تیار کرنے والے اور پیشہ ورانہ افراد کیلئے اپنی معیاری مصنوعات کو یوپین منڈیوں تک رسائی کیلئے ایک

آسان اور مفیدراستہ مہیا کرنا ہے۔

Pak Embassy held Seminar and Photo exhibition in Paris to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day

Paris 6^th February 2020. A Seminar and a special art exhibition was held at the Embassy to mark Kashmir Solidarity Day.

The event held in Paris yesterday on the theme of “Humans without Human Rights” was addressed by French Depute Mr. Jean Bernard Sempastous, President of Pakistan-France Friendship group in the French National Assembly. Professor Annie Krieger-Krynicki, the famous French scholar and recipient of Sitavae Pakistan also spoke on the occasion.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque in his opening remarks expressed Pakistan’s complete solidarity with the people of Kashmir assuring on the full moral, political and diplomatic support for realization of their legitimate right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations Charter and UN Security Council resolutions. Messages of President and Prime Minister were also read on the occasion.

Mr. Jean Bernad Sempastous in his remarks said that the conflict in Kashmir between Pakistan & India was 70 years old and had caused thousands of deaths. He said that Indian action on 5^th August last year has once again highlighted the need for stakeholders of Kashmir dispute and the world community to play their role toward peaceful resolution of one of the oldest conflict of the world.

He stressed the need for restoration of universally accepted human rights of Kashmiris and called upon India to fully restore the communication blockage and lift the curfew.

Later, Mr. Jean Bernad Sempastous and the Ambassador jointly inaugurated the painting and art exhibition, where paintings by diverse artists were at display. Special artwork by a Kashmiri artist Ms. Muzna Khawaja was also showcased. The painting and photos displayed in the exhibition highlighting the grave human rights situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

یوم یکجہتی کشمیر کے موقع پر سفارت خانہ پاکستان پیرس میں ایک سیمینار اور فن پاروں کی نمائش کا انعقاد

پیرس، 6 فروری:2020 یوم یکجہتی کشمیر کے موقع پر سفارت خانہ پاکستان پیرس میں ایک سیمینار اور خصوصی فن پاروں کی نمائش کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔

پیرس میں کل ہونے والی اس تقریب جس کا موضوع  ”انسان بغیر انسانی حقوق“ تھا سے جناب جین برنارڈ سمپاستوس  فرانسیسی قومی اسمبلی میں پاکستان فرانس دوستی گروپ کے صدر نے خطاب کیا۔ اس تقریب سے معروف فرانسیسی سکالر، پروفیسر اینی کریگر کرینیکی نے بھی خطاب کیا۔

جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان برائے فرانس نے اپنے ابتدائی خطاب میں کہا کہ پاکستان کشمیریوں کے ساتھ اپنی مکمل یکجہتی کرتا ہے اور یقین دلاتا ہے کہ وہ کشمیروں کے ساتھ اپنی اخلاقی،سیاسی اور سفارتی حمایت جاری رکھے گا اور اقوام متحدہ کی سلامتی کونسل کی قراردادوں کے مطابق ہمیشہ ان کے قانونی حقوق اور خودمختاری کیلئے اپنی آواز بلند کرتا رہے گا۔ اس موقع پر صدر پاکستان اور وزیر اعظم پاکستان کا پیغام بھی پڑھ کر سنائے گئے۔

جناب جین برنارڈ سمپاستوس نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ مسئلہ کشمیر پاکستان اور بھارت کے درمیان ستر سالہ پرانا ہے اور اب تک ہزاروں افراد کی ہلاکت کا باعث بن چکا ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ گذشتہ سال  5اگست کوبھارت کی جانب سے کی جانے والی غیر قانونی کارروائی نے ایک بار پھر مسئلہ کشمیر کے فریقین اور عالمی برادری کو دنیا کے قدیم ترین تنازعہ کو پر امن طور پر حل کرنے کے لیے اپنا کردار ادا کرنے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا۔

انہوں نے کشمیریوں کے عالمی سطح پر منظور شدہ انسانی حقوق کی بحالی پر زور دیا اور بھارت سے مطالبہ کیا کہ وہ کشمیر میں موصلاتی نظام کو بحال کرے اور مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر سے کرفیو کا خاتمہ کرے۔

بعدازاں! جناب جین برنارڈ سمپاستوں اور سفیر پاکستان نے مشترکہ طور پر مصوری اور آرٹ نمائش کا افتتاح کیا جہاں مشہور فنکاروں کے فن پارے آویزاں کیئے گئے تھے۔ اس موقع پر کشمیری فنکارہ محترمہ موزنا خواجہ کے خصوصی فن پاروں کی بھی نمائش کی گئی تھی۔ اس نمائش میں دیکھائے گئے ان فن پاروں میں مقبوضہ جموں و کشمیر میں انسانی حقوق کی سنگین صورت حال کو اجاگر کیا گیا تھا۔

A workshop on Truck Art of Pakistan in Paris thrilled the participants

Paris, 5^th December 2019. Pakistan’s Truck Art famous for its hand-painted intricate patterns and designs was introduced in France in a special workshop held at the Pakistan House in Paris, yesterday.

The Workshop was hosted by Mrs. Farrah Moin, the wife of the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque. The guests which included French officials, members of association ‘Bienvenue France’ and ladies of the diplomatic corps were given a detailed presentation about the Truck art background and evolution in Pakistan. The participants were told that the Truck art was not simply confined to decorate vehicles, but it was now being applied on variety of products such as handbags, shoes, clothes, decoration pieces and furniture.

The participants took great interest in the workshop and the different articles, including a car decorated with Truck Art, which were also displayed on the sideline of the workshop. They also enjoyed doing the Truck art by themselves.

Later, the guests were served with traditional Pakistani food.

پیرس میں پاکستانی ٹرک آرٹ کی ورکشاپ کے انعقاد سے شرکاء لطف اندوز

پیرس، 5 دسمبر :2019 پیرس میں گزشتہ روز پاکستانی ٹرک آرٹ کی ایک خصوصی ورکشاپ کا انعقاد کیا گیا جس میں ہاتھ سے پینٹ کردہ پیچیدہ نمونوں اور ڈیزائنوں کو متعارف کروایا گیا۔ اس ورکشاپ کا انعقاد پاکستان ہاؤس میں کیا گیا تھا۔

اس ورکشاپ کی میزبانی جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان برائے فرانس کی اہلیہ محترمہ فرح معین نے کی۔ ورکشاپ کے شرکاء جن میں فرانسیسی عہدیدار، انجمن ’بیونیو فرانس‘ اور سفارتی کور کی خواتین شامل تھیں کو پاکستانی ٹرک آرٹ کے پس منظر اور ارتقاء کے بارے میں تفصیلی آگاہی فراہم کی گئی۔ شرکاء کو بتایا گیا کہ ٹرک آرٹ صرف گاڑیوں کو ہی سجانے تک محدود نہیں ہے بلکہ اب اسے مختلف قسم کی مصنوعات مثلاً ہینڈ بیگ، جوتوں، کپڑوں، سجاوٹ کی اشیاء اور فرنیچر پر بھی کیا جا رہا ہے۔

شرکاء نے اس ورکشاپ میں گہری دلچسپی لی اور ٹرک آرٹ سے تیار شدہ مختلف اشیاء جن میں خصوصی طور پر خوبصورتی سے سجائی گئی کار کو نمائش کیلئے پیش کیا گیا تھا۔ شرکاء اپنے ہاتھوں سے ٹرک آرٹ کا کام کر کے لطف اندوز ہوئے۔

بعدازاں! مہمانوں کی پاکستان کے روائیتی کھانوں سے تواضع کی گئی۔

Diversity of Pakistan’s culture and tradition celebrated in France

Marseilles 4^th December 2019. The cultural diversity and rich heritage of Pakistan was celebrated in Marseilles, the major port city in the South of France.

The event organized by the Mayor of Marseilles-2 was attended by French officials and a large number of French public and expatriate Pakistanis who had come from different cities of France to participate and attend the event.

Deputy Head of the Mission Mr. Muhammad Amjad Aziz Qazi who was the chief guest thanked the Mayor, city officials and Pakistani community for organizing the event to showcase Pakistan’s rich culture, history and heritage. He said that these kinds of events help in bringing the French and Pakistan communities closer to each other.

Ms. Lisette Narducci, the Mayor of Marseilles-2 in her address highlighted the positive role played by the members of Pakistani Diaspora in the development of Marseille and appreciated them for organization the function and introducing the diverse beauty of Pakistan to the people of Marseilles.

The event helped promote the soft image of Pakistan and its tourism opportunities.

Pakistan Elected as President of UNESCO’s Education Commission

 Paris 14^th November 2019. Mr. Shafqat Mahmood, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training was unanimously elected as President of UNESCO’s prestigious Education Commission at UNESCO Headquarter, in Paris, today.

While commenting upon his election, the Federal Minister termed it as an honor for Pakistan and an acknowledgement of Pakistan’s commitment to UNESCO’s work in the field of education.

The Minister said that being the President of UNESCO’s Education Commission, he would work closely with all delegations in a constructive manner in pursuance of UNESCO’s objectives to build peace through international cooperation in education, sciences and culture and to achieve UN Sustainable Development Goals defined in Agenda 2030.

With Pakistan in the chair, the Education Commission would take up a heavy agenda   deliberating on UNESCO’s future strategy and programmes for literacy, global/regional coordination for the implementation of SDG 4 –Education 2030, ways and means to move towards a global classification framework for teacher policy dialogue besides finalizing the draft text of the Global convention on the recognition of higher education qualifications.

Since his arrival in Paris on Monday, the Minister had a hectic schedule representing Pakistan at the Paris Peace Forum and as well as UNESCO General Conference. He was hosted by the Chinese Minister for Education for an exclusive lunch. He separately held bilateral meetings with Ministers of Education of Bangladesh, Norway and Tunisia and also met Assistant Director Generals of UNESCO for Education and Culture. During the meetings, the Minister stressed the need for greater cooperation at bilateral and international level to ensure access to education to all school going children and to bring about quantum improvement in the higher education sector.

پاکستان کا یونیسکو کے ایجوکیشن کمیشن کے صدر کی حیثیت سے انتخاب

پیرس 14 نومبر :2019 جناب شفقت محمود، وزیر برائے وفاقی تعلیم و پیشہ ورانہ تربیت کو آج یونیسکو ہیڈکوارٹر پیرس میں متفقہ طور پر بطور صدر ایجوکیشن کمیشن منتخب کر لیا گیاہے۔

وفاقی وزیر نے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بطور صدر ایجوکیشن کمیش میرا انتخاب پاکستان کے لئے اعزاز کا مقام ہے اور یہ  یونیسکو کی جانب سے تعلیم کے میدان میں پاکستان کے عزم کا اعتراف ہے۔

وفاقی وزیر نے بطور صدر ایجوکیشن کمیشن کہا کہ وہ تعلیم، سائنس اور ثقافت کے شعبہ کے ذریعے بین الاقوامی تعاون کے ساتھ امن قائم کرنے اور اقوام متحدہ کے ایجنڈا 2030میں متعین کردہ پائیدار ترقی کے اہداف اور یونیسکو کے مقاصد کے حصول کیلئے تمام وفود کے ساتھ مل کر کام کرینگے۔

پاکستان کی سربراہی میں تعلیمی کمیشن نے ایس ڈی جی فور۔ایجوکیشن 2030 کے ایجنڈے سے متعلق یونیسکو کی مستقبل کی حکمت عملی اور خواندگی کو عالمی و علاقائی رابطوں اور عالمی درجہ بندی کے فریم ورک کی طرف بڑھنے کے ذرائع کے بارے میں غور و فکر کرنے کیلئے ایک بڑا ایجنڈا ترتیب دیا ہے جس میں اساتذہ کی مکالماتی پالیسی اور اعلی تعلیم کی قابلیت کے اعتراف کے متعلق عالمی کنونشن کے مسودہ کو حتمی شکل دینا ہے۔

پیر سے پیرس پہنچنے کے بعد سے وفاقی وزیر کا پیرس پیس فورم اور یونیسکو کی جنرل کانفرنس میں پاکستان کی نمائندگی کرنے کا ایک بھرپور شیڈول ترتیب دیا گیا۔ چائینہ کے وزیر تعلیم نے دوپہر کے کھانے پر ان کی میزبانی کی۔ انہوں نے بنگلادیش، ناروے اور تیونس کے وزرائے تعلیم سے بھی الگ الگ ملاقاتیں کرنے کے علاوہ یونیسکو کی اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر جنرل برائے تعلیم و ثقافت سے بھی ملاقات کی۔ ان ملاقاتوں کے دوران وفاقی وزیر نے تمام بچوں تک تعلیم کی رسائی کو ممکن بنانے اور اعلی تعلیم کے شعبے میں بہتری لانے کے امور پر دوطرفہ اور بین الاقوامی سطح پر زیادہ سے زیادہ تعاون کی ضرورت پر زور دیا

Le Pakistan élu président de la Commission de l’Education de l’UNESCO

 M. Shafqat Mahmood, Ministre fédéral de l’Education et de la formation professionnelle, a été élu à l’unanimité président de la prestigieuse Commission de l’éducation de l’UNESCO au Siège de l’UNESCO, à Paris, ce jour.

En commentant son élection, le Ministre fédéral l’a qualifiée d’honneur pour le Pakistan et de reconnaissance de l’engagement du Pakistan envers l’action de l’UNESCO dans le domaine de l’éducation.

Le Ministre a déclaré qu’en tant que Président de la Commission de l’éducation de l’UNESCO, il travaillerait en étroite collaboration avec toutes les délégations de manière constructive à la réalisation des objectifs de l’UNESCO visant à construire la paix par la coopération internationale en matière d’éducation, de sciences et de culture et à atteindre les objectifs du développement durable définis dans Action 2030.

Sous la présidence du Pakistan, la Commission de l’éducation se penchera sur un ordre du jour chargé : la stratégie et les programmes futurs de l’UNESCO en matière d’alphabétisation, la coordination mondiale/régionale pour la mise en œuvre du ODD 4 – Éducation 2030, les voies et moyens de progresser vers un cadre mondial de classification pour le dialogue politique entre enseignants et la mise au point du texte provisoire de la Convention mondiale sur la reconnaissance des qualifications pour l’enseignement supérieur.

Depuis son arrivée à Paris lundi, le Ministre a un emploi du temps chargé pour représenter le Pakistan au Forum de Paris pour la paix de Paris et à la Conférence générale de l’UNESCO. Il a été accueilli par le Ministre chinois de l’Éducation pour un déjeuner exclusif. Il a tenu séparément des réunions bilatérales avec les Ministres de l’Education du Bangladesh, de la Norvège et de la Tunisie et a également rencontré les Sous-directeurs généraux de l’UNESCO pour l’Education et la Culture. Au cours de ces réunions, le Ministre a souligné la nécessité d’une plus grande coopération aux niveaux bilatéral et international pour assurer l’accès à l’éducation à tous les enfants scolarisés et pour améliorer considérablement le secteur de l’enseignement supérieur.
