Pakistan offered its tourism treasures at the World Tourism Fair in Paris

 

Paris 14th March, 2019. The beauty of Pakistan, splendor of its landscapes, richness of its history, diversity of its culture, hospitality of its people, flavors of its cuisine and luster of its arts and crafts was showcased at one of the world’s biggest tourism fair, the Salon Mondial du Tourism, in Paris from 14th to 17th of March, 2019.

For the first time, the Embassy has set up a Pakistani Pavilion at the fair, with the participation and support of the Tourism Departments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan. The Pakistan Pavilion provided useful information to the visitors about tourism opportunities in Pakistan and as well various tour packages being offered by the French and Pakistani tour operators.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque who inaugurated the Pakistan pavilion in Paris today said that the Embassy has taken a number of concrete steps to introduce touristic opportunities of Pakistan to the French and European tourists which included launching of dynamic tourism website in French Language, sending top French tour operators to Pakistan last year, organization of an International Conference on Mountains of Pakistan and setting up of a tourism booth and a tourism office in the Embassy.

He noted with satisfaction that as result of these initiatives, the Pakistan tour packages offered by the French tour operators for the year 2019 are fully sold and keeping in view the increasing demand, French tour operators are diversifying their packages to Pakistan.

The Ambassador said that the current decision of the government to give visa on arrival and online visa facilities to the citizens of large number of countries including France is an excellent policy decision and will help in giving much needed boost to the emerging tourism industry of Pakistan.

سفارت خانہ پاکستان نے اس سیاحتی میلے میں پہلی مرتبہ محکمہ سیاحت خیبر پختون خواہ اور گلگت بلتستان کے ساتھ مل کر شمولیت کی ہے اور پاکستانی سیاحتی سٹالز لگائے ہیں۔ پاکستانی سٹال پر آنے والے تمام مہمانوں کو پاکستان میں سیاحتی مقامات کے بارے میں معلومات فراہم کرے گا اور فرانسیسی و پاکستانی ٹور آپریٹر کی جانب سے دیئے جانے والے ٹور پیکجز سے بھی آگاہ کرے گا۔ 
 
جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان نے پیرس میں اس سیاحتی میلے میں پاکستانی سٹال کا افتتاح کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سفارت خانہ پاکستان فرانس نے فرانسیسی اور یورپین سیاحوں کیلئے مختلف اقدامات اٹھائے ہیں جن میں فرانسیسی زبان میں ویب سائٹ کا آغاز، گذشتہ سال کے آخر میں فرنسیسی ٹور آپریٹرز کو پاکستان بھیجنا، پاکستانی پہاڑوں کی بین الاقوامی کانفرنس کا انعقاد، ٹورزم بوتھ کا قیام اور سفارت خانہ میں ٹورزم آفس کا قیام شامل ہیں۔
 
سفیر پاکستان نے کہا کہ پاکستان ہر عمر اورہر طبقہ فکر سے تعلق رکھنے والے سیاحوں کیلئے مختلف سیاحتی مواقعے فراہم کرتا ہے۔ پاکستان کے شمال میں قراقرم کے شاندار پہاڑی سلسلے، ہمالیہ اور ہندوکش، کاغان اور سوات کی پرفضا وادیوں، پنجاب کے خوب صورت میدانوں، مغلیہ فن تعمیر، بہاولپور کے عظیم محلات، صوفی روایات، گندھارا تہذیب و تمدن، جنوب میں بلوچستان کے سنہری ساحل سمندر اورصحرا تمام سیاحوں  کیلئے خوبصورت اور دلکش مناظر پیش کرتے ہیں۔ ان سے بڑھ کر پاکستانیوں کی روائیتی مہمان نوازی ہے جو اس دیدہ زیب سرزمین پر آنے والے تمام مہمانوں کو خوش آمدید کہتی ہے۔

A delegation of French Companies to visit Pakistan to forge business ties

 

Paris 26th February, 2019. MEDEF International, the French Business Confederation will be visiting Pakistan with a large delegation of French businessmen in April this year to forge business and investment ties.

This was disclosed by the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque while speaking at a dinner which he hosted for the board members of the Association of Friends of Pakistan held at the Embassy of Pakistan.

The Ambassador briefed the Association board members about the current status of Pakistan-France bilateral relations and hoped that the Association of Friends of Pakistan will prove to be an effective forum to strengthen the existing friendly relations and to facilitate in further improving people to people contact.

While speaking on the occasion Mrs. Fredrika Sundberg, the President of the Association said that Pakistan was a great country which with its strategic location, hardworking people and rich and diverse cultural heritage had a good potential to become a developed country of the world.

She said that the Association had drawn a comprehensive plan including launching of its own independent website, organizing conferences and exhibitions to develop friendly and productive ties between Pakistan and France and to promote Pakistan as a modern and progressive country.

The Association of Friends of Pakistan launched last year draws its members from diverse sectors of French Civil Society including diplomacy, business, fashion industry, academia, arts and media.

Urdu Cultural Day celebrated in INALCO France

Paris: 13th February, 2019. The second edition of Urdu Cultural Day was celebrated by French National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO) in Paris, France yesterday with a splendid display of Pakistan culture, recitation of Urdu poetry, singing of Urdu songs and photographic exhibition of Pakistan’s rich cultural and architecture heritage.

Students and teachers of INALCO, members of French civil society and media persons attended the cultural day in large number. Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque was the chief guest at the event.

During his speech, the Ambassador appreciated efforts of the Urdu Section of INALCO for successfully organizing the 2nd edition of Urdu Cultural Day and especially thanked the French students of Urdu section for their enthusiastic participation in various literary, cultural and social events.  He said that this event would help in promoting Urdu as one of the major languages of the world and would create more interest amongst the French students to learn Urdu language.

While highlighting the effort of the Embassy of Pakistan to France to promote Urdu language in France, the Ambassador said that recently Embassy of Pakistan and Ensemble pour le Development Humain (EPDH) of France have jointly launched Urdu classes for the French young students in the suburbs of Paris for the first time in France.

Earlier Mr. Shahzaman Haque, the incharge Urdu Section INALCO while welcoming the Ambassador, said that INALCO was the only French educational institution where Urdu was formally taught. He said that Urdu studies include Urdu Certificate (two academic years; seven hours a week), Urdu diploma (three years) and a Higher Diploma (four years).

During his visit, the Ambassador also met with Vice President INALCO Mr. Jean Francois Huchet and discussed with him ways and means to further promote Urdu as an optional language for the French students. He also presented some famous books of Urdu literature for INALCO library.

French Professionals of Pakistani Origin Extend their support to Pakistan

Paris 15 Feb, 2019. The French professionals of Pakistani origin working in the fields of banking, finance, information technology, energy, law and construction pledged their full support to the initiatives of government of Pakistan for socio-economic development of the country.

A large number of these Pakistani professional were invited to the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris for a networking and brain storming session.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque briefed the participants about Pakistan-France bilateral relations and various initiatives of the Embassy being undertaken in line with government priorities.

The Ambassador said that by virtue of their presence in important French companies, the Pakistani professionals can act as a useful a bridge to channelize French expertise and investments to Pakistan in key sectors.

He praised them for being an excellent Ambassador of Pakistan and encouraged them to further promote Pakistan within their respective companies/organizations as investment and tourist destinations.

While expressing their views, the Pakistani professionals extended their full support to the initiatives of the government for socio-economic uplift of the country. It was decided to setup a forum for regular exchanges, sharing of ideas and launch new initiatives for strengthening Pakistan France relations and promoting Pakistan in France.

Kashmir Solidarity Day Observed in Paris France

Paris, February 19, 2019. Pakistan Community in France expressed its unwavering support to Kashmiris for their just struggle for right of self-determination as promised to them by various resolutions of United Nation Security Council.

A simple and dignified Kashmir Solidarity Day event held at the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris, France yesterday was attended by the notables of Kashmiri and Pakistani communities of France, members of the French civil society and media persons in large number.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque while speaking on the occasion highlighted the significance of the event, apprised the participants of the continuously deteriorating human rights situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir and underlined the importance of resolving the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

He called upon the Government of France to play its role as member of the UN Security Council in resolving this long outstanding dispute. He said that Pakistan would continue to extend its diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiris.

The Kashmiri and Pakistan community leaders made passionate speeches about the valiant struggle of the people of Indian Held Kashmir, condemning the atrocities committed by the Indian security forces. They called for the support of the international community for the peaceful resolution of the dispute as envisaged in the UN resolutions.

A French researcher and a French Journalist also spoke on the occasion, highlighting the Kashmir issue

French Tourists are choosing Pakistan as a preferred destination for sightseeing and cultural tourism.

 

Paris, 14th December, 2018. More and more French and European tourists are choosing Pakistan as a preferred destination for tourism. This was stated by the representatives of the top tour operators of France who met the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque in Paris yesterday at a debriefing session after their recent 2-week visit to Pakistan in September, this year.

The tour operators in their separate presentations briefed the Ambassador about their visit which gave them first-hand experience of tourism potential of Pakistan. Consequently, they have introduced new tour packages for Pakistan and have also created separate webpages on their website dedicated to Pakistan.

In response to this promotional drive, tour packages offered by Clio Travels for 2019 were already sold out, Guide Petit Fute will issue a new edition of its tourist guide book on Pakistan in March, 2019 and will also organize a special exhibition of photographs of their visit to Pakistan.

The Ambassador thanked the French tour operators for being a valuable partner in promoting Pakistan as a preferred tourist destination. He briefed them about Embassy’s cultural and tourism diplomacy initiatives which included setting a Tourism Desk at the Embassy, launching of a tourism website in French language, holding of International Conference on Mountain of Pakistan in Paris and publication of special dossier on Pakistan in local tourism magazines, newspapers and airing of documentaries on Pakistan on local TV Channels.

The Ambassador informed tour operators that a dedicated Tourism Office will be opened in the Embassy to further promote cooperation in the tourism sector between Pakistan and France.

Pak Embassy remember the martyrs of APS Peshawar incident at a Christmas event held to Mark the birth of Jesus Christ  

Paris, 17th December 2018. The Embassy of Pakistan to France remembered the martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar, Martyrs of Kashmiris who lost their lives while pursuing their right of self-determination in Indian held Kashmir and paid homage and respect of the late Pakistanis of Christian faith who had contributed immensely in progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

A large number of members of Pakistani French Christian community, faith leaders and as well as parliamentarians, officials of the French Government, civil society representatives and media attended the event which was held in Embassy of Pakisan to France yesterday.

At the outset a one minutes silence was observed to pay tribute to the martyrs of APS Peshawar, Martyrs of Kashmiris in IHK and distinguished late Pakistanis of Christian of faith.

While addressing the participants, the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Moin ul Haque expressed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families of the APS incident and condemned this in human act in the strongest terms.

The Ambassador also extended his warm Christmas greetings to the Pakistani Christian expatriates and followers of Christian faith in France and around the world. Recalling the teachings of Jesus Christ, who always stood for love, peace, compassion and righteousness, he said that the spirit of Christmas was about togetherness, sharing, caring and respect for others.

The Ambassador also highlighted the role of Christian community in the progress and prosperity of Pakistan as equal, free and proud citizens of Pakistan. He landed their valuable contributions in the fields of educations, judiciary, civil & military service, sports and performing arts.

The Ambassador assured the participants that the government of Pakistan is fully committed to promote interfaith harmony amongst adherents of different religions and sects as equal citizens of Pakistan to build a tolerant, multicultural and pluralistic society.

Pakistan and France working to deepen cultural cooperation

 

Paris, 11th December, 2018.  A two-member Pakistani delegation comprising Syed Junaid Akhlaq, Director General Federal Department of Archaeology and Museums and Mr. Zafar Ali Secretary Culture, Tourism & Archaeology of Balouchistan met the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque here in Paris yesterday.

Mr. Andre De Bussy, Counselor Cultural & Cooperation of the French Embassy in Islamabad was also present on the occasion.

The Ambassador briefed the delegation about Pakistan-France cultural relations and various initiatives being taken to further strengthen cooperation in this area. He welcomed the proposed MOU between National History and Literary Heritage Division of Pakistan and Mussee Guimet of France in this regard.

The Ambassador noted Pakistan rich history and diverse cultural heritage. Currently Pakistan has six UNESCO World Heritage sites and efforts were being made to inscribe more cultural and natural sites on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

Later, Director General Federal Department of Archaeology and Museums and Secretary Cultural, Tourism & Archaeology of Baluchistan briefed the Ambassador on steps taken by the Federal and Baluchistan governments to promote culture, develop new museums and protect and preserve archaeological treasures of Pakistan.

The two-member Pakistani cultural delegation is on a 7-day visit to France organized by the Embassy of France to Pakistan. During its stay, the delegation will hold discussions with the officials of French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Management of Guimet Museum and archeological experts besides visiting historical and cultural sites of France.

Pakistan France bilateral Relations improving in all sectors

Paris, November 13, 2018. A 10-member delegation of 109th National Management Course of Pakistan called on the Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque at the Embassy of Pakistan to France in Paris yesterday.

The Ambassador gave the visiting delegation a briefing about Pakistan and France bilateral relations. He said that the two countries enjoy close and mutually beneficial relations in the fields of trade and investment, defence, education and culture. He also briefed them about Public Diplomacy initiative of the Embassy to promote soft image of Pakistan and as well as highlighted tourism potential of the country.

Ambassador expressed the hope that NMC’s visit to Paris would provide them a good opportunity to learn about the French administrative structure, their training regimes and best practices and policies in other fields.

NMC delegation during their weeklong stay in Paris would have meetings/briefings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Climate Change, Centre of High Studies of Ministry of Interior (CHEMI), Business France, French Business Federation (MEDEF) and National Museum of Asian Arts (GUIMET).

پیرس:  13 نومبر2018ء    پاکستان کے 109ویں نیشنل منیجمنٹ کورس کے 10 رکنی وفد نے کل سفارت خانہ پاکستان پیرس میں جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان سے ملاقات کی۔

سفیر پاکستان نے وفد کو پاکستان اور فرانس کے باہمی تعلقات کے بارے میں تفصیلی آگاہی دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ دونوں ممالک کے درمیان تجارت، سرمایہ کاری، دفاع، تعلیم اور ثقافت کے شعبوں میں سودمند اور قریبی تعلقات میں اضافہ ہو رہا ہے۔ انہوں نے وفد کو سفارت خانہ کی عوامی سفارت کاری مہم کے ذریعے پاکستان کے مثبت پہلووں کو اجاگر کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ فرانس میں ملکی سیاحت کو فروغ دینے کے اقدامات کے بارے میں بھی آگاہ کیا۔

سفیر پاکستان نے امید کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ نیشنل منیجمنٹ کورس کے وفد کو پیرس کے دورے کے دوران فرانسیسی انتظامی ڈھانچے، ان کے تربیتی نظام اوردوسرے شعبوں میں بہترین طریقوں اور پالیسیوں کے بارے میں سیکھنے کا موقع ملے گا۔

نیشنل منیجمنٹ کورس کا وفد پیرس میں اپنے ایک ہفتہ کے قیام کے دوران فرانسیسی وزارت خارجہ، وزارت موسمیاتی تبدیلی، اعلی تعلیمی مراکز برائے وزارت داخلہ، بزنس فرانس، فرانس بزنس فیڈریشن، اور نیشنل میوزیم آف ایشین آرٹس کے حکام سے ملاقاتیں اور آگاہی حاصل کرے گا۔

20 Pakistani Companies attended the Expo Protection held in Paris

Paris 7th November, 2018. Twenty Pakistani Companies have setup stalls to showcase preventive gloves, headgear and other specialized risk preventive wears at the 3-day 27th Expo Protection, held in Paris from 6-8 November, 2018.

Over 20,000 visitors and exhibitors from 33 countries visited the Pakistani stalls and showed their keen interest in the high quality and price competitive products of Pakistan.

The Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr. Moin ul Haque visited the Expo and thanked the Pakistani exhibitors for their participation and showcasing their high-quality products in the most prestigious exhibition of Europe.

He hoped that their active participation in the exhibition would help to establish contacts with their foreign counterparts, develop partnerships, secure new contracts and promote their products in the rich and affluent markets of France and Europe.

Over 550 exhibitors from 33 countries are participating in the 3-day International Expo Protection, 2018.

20 پاکستانی کمپنیوں کی پیرس میں منعقد ہونے والی ’ایکسپو پروٹیکشن‘ میں شرکت 
 
 پیرس:  7 نومبر2018ء    20پاکستانی کمپنیوں نے پیرس میں منعقد ہونے والی تین روزہ 27 ویں ایکسپو پروٹیکشن جو 6 سے 8 نومبر2018 تک جاری رہے گی میں اپنی خصوصی مصنوعات کے سٹالز لگائے جس میں حفاظتی دستانے،حفاظتی آلات اور خطرے سے بچاؤ کیلئے استعمال ہونے والی خصوصی مصنوعات شامل ہیں۔  
 
اس نمائش میں بیس ہزار سے زائد لوگوں اور 33 ممالک کے نمائش کنندگان نے پاکستانی سٹالز کا دورہ کیا اور پاکستانی کمپنیوں کی اعلی اور معیاری مصنوعات میں گہری دلچسپی ظاہر کی۔ 
 
جناب معین الحق سفیر پاکستان نے نمائش کا دورہ کیا اوریورپ کی اس معروف نمائش میں پاکستانی نمائش کنندگان کا شرکت کرنے اور اپنی اعلی و معیاری مصنوعات کو شاندار اوربہترین انداز میں پیش کرنے پر ان کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔  
 
سفیر پاکستان نے امید ظاہر کی کہ اس نمائش میں شرکت سے پاکستانی نمائش کنندگان کو اپنے یورپین ہم منصبوں سے روابط، شراکت داری کو فروغ دینے، نئے تعلقات بنانے اور اپنی مصنوعات کو فرانس اور  یورپین مارکیٹ تک رسائی دینے میں مدد ملے گی۔ 
 
اس تین روزہ بین الاقوامی نمائش میں 33 ممالک کے 550 نمائش کنندگان شرکت کر رہے ہیں۔

20 entreprises pakistanaises ont participé au salon Expoprotection qui s’est tenu à Paris

Paris, le 7 novembre 2018. Vingt entreprises pakistanaises ont installé des stands pour présenter des gants de protection, des casques et d’autres vêtements spécialisés de prévention des risques lors de la 27e édition du salon international Expoprotection qui s’est tenue à Paris du 6 au 8 novembre 2018.

Plus de 20 000 visiteurs et exposants de 33 pays ont visité les stands pakistanais et ont montré leur vif intérêt pour les produits pakistanais de haute qualité et à prix compétitifs.

L’Ambassadeur du Pakistan en France, S.E. M. Moin ul Haque, a visité l’Expoprotection et a remercié les exposants pakistanais pour leur participation et la présentation de leurs produits de qualité dans l’une des plus prestigieuses expositions d’Europe.

Il espère que leur participation active à l’exposition permettra d’établir des contacts avec leurs homologues étrangers, de développer des partenariats, d’obtenir de nouveaux contrats et de promouvoir leurs produits sur les marchés riches et prospères de France et d’Europe.

Plus de 550 exposants de 33 pays participent au salon international Expoprotection 2018.
